Very very sad to hear of sharan passing on . Our thoughts , love and hugs to Mallika , Jairam and Samhita . I remember the time I met sharan for the first time in singapore and was so happy to host him . He came across that lovely soft spoken and very very adjusting person . He loved the family and took out time to speak to his family every day . He always had a lovely soft smile on his face . We used to sit and have long talks after his meetings . May your gentle soul rest in peace. You have passed on to another world where there is only love happiness and compassion . We will miss you here sharan . Love to the entire family .

Deeply saddened to hear about Sharan Athimber’s passing. I first met him at his wedding to my cousin, Mallika Akka. I was just a kid at the time, but to this day, I still remember his infectious smile and their love for each other. I got to know him more when I visited them in Miami in 2018. He had a passion for science and helping others, a wonderful sense of humor, and easy going nature. I will never forget our Miami Beach day. My condolences to the family. He will always be remembered. 🙏🏽

I was heartbroken to learn of Dr. Ramaswamy's passing. He was not only my PhD advisor but also a true mentor and friend during my years at FIU. His guidance, generosity, and warmth have shaped both my career and my life. His passion for science and his deep devotion to his family always shone brightly, it often made one wonder how he juggled it all.

I will forever cherish the many spontaneous conversations we shared on all manner of topics, his sense of humor, the way he challenged me to grow, and his unwavering belief in my potential. I am deeply grateful for everything he gave me, and I will carry his spirit with me in everything I do. There is no doubt that I would not be half the researcher I am today without his mentorship.

My thoughts are with you all, and I hope you find comfort in the love he gave and the impact he had on so many.

Sharan will be sorely missed. He was a very kind hearted person and a wonderful mentor and colleague.  My condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family.  May god give them strength to bear the loss.
My deepest condolences to Dr. Ramaswamy’s family. Dr. Ramaswamy was a supportive mentor who always encouraged his students and valued the work we did together. I am very grateful that he believed in me and inspired me to pursue the path of research. His passion for and dedication to research made a remarkable impact on the cardiovascular field he loved. It was an honor and a privilege to have worked with him as his PhD student. Thank you, Dr. Ramaswamy. You will be greatly missed and forever remembered. May you rest in peace.

My condolences to Sharan's family. I first met Sharan when working on a scientific project that he was so proud and passionate about it and we would often share and teach how to make things possible for the best outcome and benefits.

This loss is so unexpected and irreplaceable.

RIP Dear Dr. Ramaswamy 💔🕊️🙏

My sincere condolences to Dr. Ramaswamy’s family. He was my PhD advisor from 2010 to 2015 and was always generous with his time and wisdom. He was a dedicated scientist, a committed mentor, and a humble, kind human being. When I learned he was a cardiovascular expert, I knew I wanted to join his lab. I feel fortunate to have learned from him during such an important phase of my career. His passing is a great loss, and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
I have had the privilege of knowing Sharan since he joined our department years ago. His unwavering commitment, passion, and dedication to Biomedical Engineering and his research have always inspired me. Sharan was a kind and generous soul, always eager to collaborate and elevate those around him with his knowledge and enthusiasm. The news of his passing is truly devastating for all of us and his beloved family. My deepest condolences go out to his wife and children. Sharan’s memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Deeply saddened to hear about your loss. Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to you , Jayram , Samhita and all  family members. Our prayers are with you all. May God give you and all family members, the strength and courage to overcome the irreplaceable loss.

R.I.P Sharan!!

OM SHANTI🙏🙏🙏

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a truly remarkable professor, one of the greatest mentors, and a human being.  Your presence brought light, wisdom, and warmth to the department and your BME Phd students. You inspired us not only through your knowledge, but also through your kindness and the passion of your profession, also to your students as always. Your legacy will continue to live in the many lives you touched, the minds you helped shape, and the hearts you uplifted. Thank you for being so kind to me, Claudia E. Estrada. I work with you in the BME Dept. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, thank you, Dr. Ramaswamy.
I have fond memories of the holidays when Sharan and his family would visit Bangalore. We were just children then, but even in those brief moments, his warmth, easygoing nature, and bright spirit stood out. Though I didn’t know him well in later years, it was always clear he was someone truly special - brilliant, kind and a person full of life. His presence left a lasting impression on everyone around him. My heartfelt condolences to his family and may his memory continue to remain in the lives he touched.
