December... the last month of the year. With lots of holiday celebrations, vacation trips, New Year plans and reviews of this year's achievements.
Roman and me were always traveling during December, but this year was different… I was traveling with my children and grandchildren without you, my dear.
They invited me to join them in their favorite resort in Cancun. Every day I was grateful and thinking how lucky I am to have my children close to me, how proud I am that we instilled in them our family values. They and our grand children are thoughtful, caring and attentive.
We spend 10 days together in this luxury resort. It was a lot fun watching how grown up our grand children are, talking and playing with them, exercising a lot, having dinner together. We were talking about you many times! I was telling them some stories about our trips and adventure we had in our sailing trip in Caribbean islands on a huge catamaran for a whole month, discovering French Polynesia islands, sail in Greek islands, etc. I had the feeling that we were all together again!
We returned home just before Christmas and in spite of some obstacles related to Covid-19, we manage to get together for Christmas dinner to keep our tradition going. I decorated my Christmas tree as usual, and I put small Xmas tree on your gravesite as well. It was first Christmas without you and again we remembered you with a toast, recalling how we started our tradition, gathering on this day with extended family and close friends. Do you remember how many presents were under the Christmas? Over 50 sometimes! And how much fun was had by all opening them!
New Year is coming and I hope we will create more new family memories together.
I wish everyone reading this to be happy, healthy, prosperous, pursuing their dreams, achieving them, and enjoying every moment of your life! I wish you to have exiting, magical, mask-less 2022 Year!!!
I miss you so much, my beloved husband and dear friend, but I will try to be happy, as you wanted me to be and as I promised.
Always loving, always remembering, your evergreen,
Ёлочка
