With deepest sadness, I offer my condolences.  I fondly remember and hold dear my friendship with Rich when we were around 11 or 12 years old, running around his backyard on summer days roleplaying superheroes, Rich with his bow and me with my frisbee, of all things.  I remember snarfing funnel cakes (@Terri!) until we barfed, and staying up all night playing Atari, and making grand plans to improve our 4th of July celebrations at the lake (I believe go-carts were integral to the plan).  I regret not living closer as we grew older, although I suspect his inner child never really left him.

Rich was a Huff: always ready for mischief, with a warm and honorable heart, loving of family, food, and craft.

I miss you and love you Rich.

To all of you, please know that I am grateful and honored to have spent time with Rich during our time in that band out of Raytown, MO --- Backwash. 

It may have only been for a short period during 2000-2001, but there were so many good times.  

Band practices, the gigs at The Flamingo, The Final Approach, Towne Grille etc. after gig breakfasts at the Country Kitchen, going out to promote the band, etc.  

And it was Rich's huge circle of friends that were almost always our biggest support group at many of the gigs, always!  We know love does not repel but attracts so this in itself (friends) speaks quite simply yet clearly about Rich's character. 

Amazing even after 20 years, those memories are still fresh in my mind, make me laugh and sigh, and will forever remain close to my heart.  Very thankful for these contributions that Rich provided to my life.

Dear Dawn, Kenzie, & Ellie, 

Please  know how much he loved you all!  ❤️Everyone could see how proud he was of you all always!  Our hearts are shattered with yours, but please know that we are always here for you!  This family is close and strong! We will help get each other through everything!
