Rich's obituary
Richard David Huff, 48, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on February 17th, 2022
Rich was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to David and Christine Huff on January 28th, 1974. Rich attended grade school at Our Lady of Lourdes in Raytown, high school at Archbishop O’Hara in Kansas City, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business. He worked as a project and marketing specialist for Solar Tool & Die, Fike, and CZ US.
He married his loving wife Dawn on June 5th, 2004 in Riverside, Missouri. Together they raised two beautiful daughters. Although he joked about living in a house of “all things pink and sparkly”, he loved every minute of it.
Rich was a man of many hobbies. He was an excellent cook who loved to prepare huge meals for his friends and family. Whether it was making sliders on the griddle, smoking ribs for football season, or just making sandwiches, he always made sure everyone was fed.
Rich enjoyed working with wood and had a full woodworking shop in his garage where he would make everything from shelf organizers to full patio chairs.
He was a talented, self-taught musician who loved to sing and play any instrument that caught his interest.
There are several words that describe Rich: loving, warm, hard-working, dedicated, loyal. He also had an incredible, smart, wicked sense of humor that made everyone around him laugh.
Rich is survived by his wife, Dawn Huff; his daughters Kenzie and Ellie Huff; parents David and Christine Huff; siblings Terri (Michael) Calia, Nancy (Chris) Bolyard, and Jon (Audrey) Huff; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
