Otis was a light among us.  Always ready to listen -- and to laugh -- Otis deepened our understanding and fostered an esprit de corps with everyone he worked.  His light will be remembered and ever remain a blessing.

You brought such kindness and humility to all your interactions, and I think, that in turn brought out those same qualities in others. I am lucky that our paths crossed in Mozambique, and so saddened that our paths will not cross again.  My deepest condolences to Otis' family.  He will be missed by so many.

It was such a pleasure working with Otis and I'm so saddened to hear of his passing. Otis was warm, professional, and a straight forward talker in an atmosphere where that is not always the case! I had such a great experience working with him on all things Mozambique and on the margins of meetings talking about the joy of traveling. We in the USAID/Africa Bureau will miss our colleague dearly. Rest easy Otis.

When they say the good die young, this saying feels literal. No matter how many years you would have spent earthside, it would have never been enough to your village. May God be pleased with you and what you have given this world as you make your return back to God.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of Otis's sudden passing. Working alongside him was a privilege, as he was not only incredibly sharp and insightful but also always willing to lend a helping hand. His commitment and dedication to his work was inspiring. Otis approached every task with such clarity and generosity, creating an environment where collaboration flourished and everyone felt supported.

This loss is truly shocking, and it’s hard to believe he’s no longer with us. He made an indelible impact on those around him, and his absence will be profoundly felt. My thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the memories of Otis and the legacy of kindness and dedication he leaves behind.

I'm so sorry to hear of Ottis passing away. Ottis was a colleague of both my husband and I in Mozambique. Ottis was a professional, always a kind word, friendly, and a smile on his face. I am heart broken , I met him via a friend in Mozambique, the same day we becoming body, such a lovely guy I can’t believe he is gone . I’m still think it’s a joke and waiting to text me back and told me it’s a joke
