We got to know Idris in the last few years whilst he coached Henry helping him to develop his running technique and improving his speed. We are very grateful for this and have lots of nice memories from our journey together.Idris you will be missed by us all and we will always remember you especially when Henry is out there on a playing field RIP mate 👊
In response to "What made Idris different from most people you know?"
I first met Idris when I was managing at Crystal Palace and he would come in to train and compete. He always loved a hug and he gave the best hugs.

Once he knew my daughter was running he always made sure she was good and always took the time to chat to her and give her sound advice.

Fly high up there my friend ❤️❤️

I am so sorry to hear this deeply saddening and shocking news. It’s hard to believe that he has been taken from us. Idris was the type of person to fill up a room with his energy and spirit. He has taught me a lot about life and I will miss our long talks. He was an amazing friend, athlete and coach who’s radiant positive energy touched so many. I will miss you my brother.

Words cannot really sum him up, he is just ‘Idris’. A larger than life personality, I consider it an enormous pleasure to have known him. Gone far too soon, his memory will live on in our actions, he will drive us all to work harder, be generous and passionate in ALL that we do. There will never be another Idris but all that he’s taught us will live on. RIP brother.
We are all so very shocked and saddened to hear this tragic news. Idris was an inspiration to so many - Jacob loved his training sessions with Idris. He gave him renewed confidence and love of his football after injury and losing self confidence. He will be truly missed. May he shine bright -Sending so much love to his family and loved ones. Yolanda James Jacob and Enzo. X
With Idris's passing, we have lost a very fine sprinter, but more importantly a lovely man with a big personality. I always enjoyed our catch ups when I ran into him at competitions or more recently when he has been coaching. He will be missed by many, and my deepest condolences are with his family.
