Our journey with Idris started about 7 years ago and can’t believe that it’s ended like this 😪 he wasn’t just their coach he was far more than that he genuinely cared for both Jack and Joe, Idris had such a big heart, he was always there for all of us, still can’t believe this has happened but we’re so thankful that we were part of his life just wish that he was still here, going to miss him so much - Idris you were a true legend
Rest in peace 😪🙏

I am so happy that Charlie was able to train with Idris. He learnt so much from his sessions. I used to watch and however hard the sessions were they were both always laughing and smiling.
Idris was definitely one of a kind. The most passionate energetic coach and a genuinely good person.
Idris you will be greatly missed by Charlie.. I am so thankful for all you taught him.
Rest in Peace
Rebecca and Charlie 🙏

So saddened to hear the news, my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
I first knew Idris from when I started athletics many years ago now at Sutton Arena, he was a true role model and great athlete.
RIP Idris.
Thank you Idris for being a mentor, coach, and true inspiration to my son Tobias who trained with you for the past 2 years. You are one of a kind and will be missed by many. Rest in peace. Your legacy will live on.
RIP Idris 🙏🏿 I just heard the news today. Still in shock.
May your sweet soul rest in Peace Amen 🌷🌷
May God comfort & protect your family, friends & loved ones. You were a fantastic help in my son’s training in 2018/19 when we met up regularly with you at Crystal Palace centre. You had a way with teenagers & knew how to get the best out of them. You were a friend, mentor & trainer to all, with a fabulous, selfless personality. 💗
Rest in peace. Heaven has gained an Angel even though it’s just too soon. I still cannot believe this. It’s very painful to hear this. God bless your family Amen 🙏🏿
Apart from the 2 and half yea…
Apart from the 2 and half years of training my son Romao, teachin him not just building strength but how to deal with different situations on and off the pitch, a true mentor. The fun times when my husband was adoment he was going to beat Idris at Mario but he got whoooped big time! On a few occasions too that was an on going joke! We all miss him already, not just a coach he was our friend x x RIEP

Will be remembered for his gentle well-mannered nature and cultural ethos. Thoughts and prayers to all in need of comfort.
I was lucky enough to be coached by Idris for the last 3 years. He was such a generous person and always fun to be around. He was a brilliant coach and helped me so much in my football. He believed in me and that meant so much. You will always be in my thoughts and will inspire me to be the best I can be. Sending all my love to his family and loved ones.

Idris was an angel , more then a coach , a friend , a brother , a mentor , his legacy will leve forever with us !!!
I am totally at a loss for words. Idris was one of the most genuine people I’ve met on this journey called life. Along with his passion for Arsenal and love for athletics he was a sincere brother and true friend and will greatly be missed but never forgotten. I am so proud of all he achieved. My love and thoughts go out to the family and loved ones.
On behalf of the 'London Schools Athletic Association', we send our sincere condolences to the Ojuriye family.

We are saddened by the passing of Idris and would like to acknowledge his efforts and commitment to Track & Field Athletics.

Over the years many students were introduced to athletics by Idris and gained the opportunity to represent, their School / Borough at the 'London Schools Track & Field Championships', and also London at the 'English School Athletic Association Championships', as well as numerous club and county competitions.

A fine gentleman with a big heart.

It is with a heavy heart that we say thank you Idris. We will miss you, but will not forget you.
