He was like a brother to me always wants to help
Our condolences to Idris’s Family and Partner, we cannot fathom how such a wonderful person has been taken so young - Idris there are not enough words to describe how good a person you were the kids all loved you at TSM including our boy Beau such a positive role model, coach and friend, you are dearly missed xx RIP your never be forgotten xx
My condolences to Idris’s family. This is such a hard news to digest. Idris was such a lovely and energetic person. He was such an encouraging person to train with who always wanted you to succeed and always pushed you to perform your best. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace Idris 🙏🏾❤️
You always were so competitive and I loved training with you.
Rest in peace

I was a track team manager for Idris for well over a decade with a Herne Hill Harriers British Athletics League team which was always the richer for his ebullient presence. His energy, enthusiasm and great humour added so much to our teams over those years in addition to the many very valuable points he would score in our matches all around the country.
I struggle to believe I’ll not see him at a south London track any longer, but his legacy from his superb coaching will live on with his inspiration.
RIP Idris we won’t forget you
Geoff Jerwood, HHH
You will be missed dearly. Rest in eternal peace Bro.

What a terrible thing to happen to such a vibrant young man. I helped Lorna to coach Idris over 10 years ago and he was an inspiration even back then. Very committed to training and full of fun when it was all over. RIP young man- taken far too soon ❤
Saddened and shocked to learn of Idris' passing. He was a man of high energy and I'm sure that the youngsters he coached fed off his enthusiasm. I miss some of our football chat. Rest in peace bro.
I don't even know where to start, he was always smiling, showing genuine interest in people's lives and was so humble. I am still shocked to about this. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you and I can't begin to imagine what you are going through. I will be praying for all of you that your hearts will recover from this. Xx
Sleep on Idris in the bossom of your maker, though painful but we surrender to the will of God. You live on in our heart.
We’re so sorry to hear this sad news, we were very fortunate to meet Idris through football and that our 2 eldest children Danny and Lexi had the opportunity to train with Idris for a period of time. The children learnt so much and we’ll be forever thankful for the help and advice. Idris will be sorely missed by so many. RIP
I'm still in shock. I can't believe you're gone coach. You helped me improve my running and build my confidence. You will surely be missed by everyone.
Darren and I always look back at our athletics days with great fondness, and so many of those memories are because of Idris. From he scary way he used to shout "track", and thunder passed to his wicked laugh. You were such an outstanding character, with a huge personality. You'll be forever missed. I'm sorry we can't all be there in person to give you the massive send off you deserve, surrounded by the many people you touched. Our only solace is knowing heaven has gained an angel, and will be up there putting the rest of them through their paces.
RIP.
All our love, Kayleigh & Darren
