I saw Angela's post most were funny some were racey but they were all Angela. I was in a dark place I was really depressed. I text her one day and said how funny she was. We started chating and ISAID I would love to meet this funny Lady. Tools HER I was not hitting as I have been Married 40 years. We met at trails End and. Quickly became friends. She was a bright LIGHT. I needed her energy. After a couple of weeks she was giving g me a ride home from a club. We sat in my driveway and she told me about her medical problems. She told me she was given ten years to live we talked about 3 hrs. I got out of the car I went into my home and cried the rest of the night. She said she had 10 years and had already been 3 years. We became very close. She was my hero. Something a lot of her friends didn't know is behind that beautiful smile she was always in pain but she danced as if nothing was wrong. We made a promise we would dance together til one of us was gone. I had a heartatack 5 years before and said I hoped it was me because I was 16 years older. It dosnt happen that way and Ididnt get that last dance. We were listening to music. She had gotten sick again and was in pain. She wanted to dance and I was concerned about her I said no. It was the last chance to dance together. Before she went into the hospital the last time. We didn't get that dance. The night before she passed. I had not heard from her in a couple days. I text her on Nov 15 saying I was worried about her I hand not heard from her. I got my text back with a heart on it. She was to weak to text she passed the next morning and I was devastated. I still have that text I look at it every now and then. She saved my life. What a beautiful some she was. Miss her every day

I met Angela in a transplant support group online. We figured out we were having our surgeries at the same hospital, and I happened to be in the hospital when she got her call. The first time I met her in person, I walked in on her during an extremely personal exam. We had scheduled my visit and she knew I was coming, but she forgot. She gave me a murderous glare and I awkwardly apologized and stumbled backward out of the room. When she realized who I was later, we had a good laugh about it. I guess we got used to strangers being all up in our business. It’s been five years now. Five years of a shared transplant journey that feels a lot more lonely without her.
I’m sorry I couldn’t write anything before this. Even now, nothing I can say seems quite right. I miss her a lot. We shared a special transplant bond that’s hard for other people to understand. She was kind, funny, and caring. She had a mischievous streak and she didn’t mind if what she said offended someone. She really and truly cared about other people, and I was lucky to know her.
