Shocked and sorry to hear about Steve’s unexpected passing. I know how much he meant to the Neece family as a father, grandfather and role model. He will certainly be missed.

Robyn, Sam and Alex my heart breaks for all of you and your sweet families. Growing up with you guys was like having a second family around. Steve was a tough dad but he loved you guys more than anything. He pushed you all to be the best version of yourself and those of us that hung around had the same expectations. He wanted all of us to make something of ourselves and find our place in the world. I believe he fulfilled those goals because you guys  are pretty amazing.  So thank you  for sharing your dad and mom with us for so many of our childhood years I love each and everyone of you..

Steve was my first boss as a fresh, new fireman. Looking back at the options, he was the best at that time.

As with any boss, there are always differences of opinion, but there was always mutual respect .

After his Fire Department days, I did a good deal of fabrication and repair work for him at the Oil Lube. He never questioned or second guessed anything I did for him there. He was always thankful and happy to have something done that needed to be done and he respected me enough to just say get it done and give me a bill.

What always made an impression on me was that every time I saw him, he always told me about his kids .

He was so proud of y’all and wanted everyone to know that.

May God give each of you Peace as you go through this difficult time.
