Sharp Dressed Man

Sharp Dressed Man
Steve was a great example of the term, "unique." He was a gorgeous creature with dimples, pale blue eyes, sandy blond curls, and a suntan that couldn't be replicated by any tanning method. Steve was a champion swimmer and athlete. He didn't have to be on the team in any sport but he could still play victoriously. Steve was also a killer pool player, one I understand reaped huge rewards for his skill. Steve was an accomplished job leader. He earned numerous titles, awards, admiration, and respect from prominent executives and he did these things while still very young. He did these things without help or support or referral. I often heard his colleagues say Steve was a "tough but fair" boss. Steve worked very hard but played just as hard when the job was complete and done right. Steve was introverted and preferred intimacy to social interaction (Not to be confused with the dreaded "social distancing!") but he would anonymously help any person or animal in need. He would do this without need of reverance or reciprocation. Steve did not have an effervescent personality but he exuded charm and a dry humor that, if understood properly, could quite literally leave you in tears. Steve experienced much despair upon the losses of his mother and wife--both too young to depart this life. But Steve overcame his own demise and was victorious in beating his affliction for eight years! This was an epic feat for Steve and I could not be prouder of someone who triumphed over temptation and (deceptive) pleasure. Steve could confront you with defiance over any rule and go without reprimand every time. But Steve would not confront overt expressions of attraction, admiration, or even love. He embraced these things from within and he was satisfied to retain them from within. You had to have enough confidence to know how he felt about you because you'd never get a direct response. Steve was the epitome of a Pisces. He carried pride and humility in the same hand. He was sarcastic but always optimistic. He was insightful but was easily "hacked" by scammers. He could be such a prick but could melt your heart with a gift, or kind gesture, or simply by understanding your own "hot mess" of a being! I know we are all considered to be, "like no other" but Steve really was just that--like no other. I will miss him all the days of my life--for good, bad, and indifferent.
