Thank you, Stan. Please watch…
2022, Woodbridge, VA, USA
Thank you, Stan. Please watch over my garden it couldn't of happened without you. I will be forever grateful.
Lauren,  Nick, although I didn't know your dad very long he had become a true friend. He was very kind and creative. He made me 2 indoor plant stands,  a planter for a raised garden because the only thing my dirt grows is more dirt. I will cherish it. I'm sad I didn't get to share how well my veggies are doing.
I only worked with Stan briefly at the Pentagon but always found him a positive spirit, enthusiastic and smart: a bright light in the world.  So sorry he is gone so soon. My condolences to the family for the loss of such a great guy.

I am so, so sorry to hear the news about Stan. Stan and I were classmates. We graduated from high school ( Academy of Richmond County, Augusta, Ga, 1980) and college (West Point, 1984) together. I still remember our discussions about West Point when we were both applying as teenagers. I remember our talks about what is really important in life when we were cadets. I remember his excitement about meeting and dating Amie and the  joy and happiness in his voice when he talked about his family and his Army career.  Stan  was a remarkable man who stood up for everything that was good, honest and true. I never realized until now how much our discussions as younger men made me a much better person and I am very grateful.  Amie, and family,.... My thoughts and prayers are with you for comfort and peace.  Please accept my deepest sympathy.

I worked with Stan at DHS. In the most stressful of days, Stan would pop into my office with a story or anecdote and I couldn’t help but drop everything and relax for a moment. His positive energy was absolutely infectious. Stan handmade these beautiful blocks for my now 2 year old son the day he was born. Will never forget his genuine kindness. What a privilege to have know him. May his memory be a blessing.
Sadly, I haven’t seen Stan since we graduated high school together. But I will never forget what a genuinely kind and good person he was. Always ready with a smile.  The world needs way more people like Stan. I know he will be greatly missed by his close friends and family. My sincere condolences to them.
I was so sorry to hear about Stan's passing. He was such an amazing man.   I’m going to miss our “fence” talks.  May his memory last forever !!!!
I was devastated when Mama called me with the news of Stan's passing. Although it's been quite a while since we've seen each other, I have always loved Stan dearly.  I'm praying for his wife, children, and family here in Augusta, Georgia.
To Stan’s family, I was so saddened to hear of Stan’s passing, as I had just seen him a few weeks ago. In the little time I knew him, I saw he was a kind and generous man, very outgoing and friendly,   someone who loved life, and who loved to create beautiful things out of wood. A very talented man indeed. I am honored to have known him.  I am so sorry for your loss and hope you are comforted by all the  beautiful memories you shared together.

You will be missed. What an incredible person. He was so friendly. Although I just met him last month he treated me like an old friend. He was very kind to my husband and kids. We talked about future projects. He did such an amazing wood work. I will cherish the beautiful art he made. Condolences to the family.

He loved this color combination. Rest easy friend.

I knew Stan for quite a short period but in that short time I can proudly say that he was one of the greatest people in this community. He was one of the kindest, most respectful and friendly people I know. You will be missed greatly. Thank you for all you did.
I’ve only known Stan for a short time, however, he made an impression as a kind and generous soul. My heartfelt condolences.
They say that people will remember you not for what you did, but how you made them feel.  This is so true because as I sit thinking about all the talks and times I was blessed to spend with Stan all I can think about is how he made me feel. Every single time I was in his presence I felt seen, heard and just genuinely cared about. Whether he was working on a project, helping move his daughter or getting ready to run out the door, he always took the time to just stop and pour into you. His genuine love for others always shined through.  Words could never express the loss of such an amazing soul, but I know his memory and loving heart will live on in all of those who knew him.
I was (and remain) absolutely gutted when I heard the news of Stan's passing and remain crestfallen at this tremendous loss. Stan was a very special, rare gem of a human being. I don't know that I've ever encountered such a calm, gentle, genuine, and loving soul as Stan's -- beautiful qualities that he passed on to his beloved kids. I had the pleasure of spending time with Stan when I would visit Lauren and I will forever cherish those memories. Stan was beloved by everyone who knew him and his absolute devotion to his family was so genuine and heartwarming. I know words could never fill this void or take away your pain, but I'm holding all of you really close and am just so very sorry that this happened. May his memory be a blessing. All of my love.
I'm friends with Stan's daughter Lauren. In college, he was so generous and not only allowed for me and my classmates to visit him at his office at Homeland Security, he gave us a personal tour and spent time answering all our questions. It frankly was a highlight of my education and it was all because of him. He was so giving and loved his daughter so much that he was willing to let her friend bug him at work. He will be missed but I know his love lives on in his family.
Stan worked for me on the Personnel Team in the Media Relations Branch at the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs at the Pentagon during some of the most trying times:  Gulf War Syndrome, Oklahoma City Bombing, Aberdeen Proving grounds sexual misconduct, extremists in the military, to name a few.  Steady, stalwart, dependable, reliable, eager, thorough, and just a helluva nice guy.  I'm terribly sorry to hear of his passing...much much too soon.  Please accept my deepest condolences.
Stan trained me as his replacement as the PAO at the Human Resources Command in 2004. He was a great Soldier and mentor and took a great deal of pride in his work. He taught me a lot about how to work effectively at the most senior levels of the Army. I also remember him as a very kind and caring person.
So sorry to hear about Stan. My thoughts are with Amie , Lauren and Jordan. Mike
