My painting, "Cold Winter's Warmth" was inspired after Shaun had recovered from a severe case of Streptococcal Pneumonia.  Anne was in the same hospital, about to give birth to their first child, Will.  Shaun was taken from the ICU to the Maternity Unit to meet his freshly born son.  The hospital staff were in tears, as were my sister and brother-in-law.  The actual background was in their neighborhood near Boulder, Colo., I painted the more pleasing background from my imagination.   I will miss Sweet Shaun and his gentle demeanor, and I pray for healing of Anne and her family.  Ann Adamek

Thank you for sharing those photos - they epitomize my memories of Shaun at Theta Delta Chi - always smiling, happy to see you, and full of life. He was a large reason why I joined….a gentleman, brother, and great spirit.

If I had one complaint in Colorado Springs, it was that I didn’t see Shaun McCarthy enough. I absolutely loved this guy, he will be sorely missed at social events, poker, and gods meetings.

Shaun was a very good boss.  He was committed to helping each of us to succeed.  He also helped us from a team perspective.  Praying for Shaun and his family.

So many memories of fun times & shenanigans at Arizona State and the TDX house. I remember he always had a smile on his face and was kind. To his family: I am so sorry for your loss. Gone too soon.
