Prayers, love and thoughts to all of the McCarthy Family. It is so nice to see how many people Shaun touched and helped in his life, and knowing that he will live in everyone's hearts forever is special. The life he lived is truly a gift to all.
Shaun and I grew up together as second cousins in Casper and enjoyed many, many golf rounds together, especially in high school. We enjoyed our play dates at the McCarthy house where Shaun could escape the many sisters (before the twins) and hang with the boys.
We again send our love to the entire family and especially from my mom, Shirley Sullivan.

In 2006 Shaun became a founding owner (Smashmouths) in the Couch Potato Fantasy League . Shaun put up competitive teams and was always in the running. One thing all the other owners agree on was that Shaun was always the nicest person they ever met! We now dedicate a new Shaun Patrick McCarthy trophy to goes to the winner of the league in memory of our Mr Congeniality, Shaun. We will miss you brother!

If friendships forged when we are young can last through the years, it’s the bond that was created sharing laughter, pain, and tears. Even when they pass away and are physically gone, their spirit lives within you, it’s been there all along. We will endure the grief and she’d our tears, because our friend has died. While I hadn’t seen Shaun in several years, I have many fond memories of him as we worked together in banking for many years. Shaun was always the consummate professional and a great human being. Anne, sending so much love and light to you and the boys.

I had the great pleasure of knowing Anne and Shaun for the last 8 years or so and loved their endearing relationship. We all spent a lot of time together and I will miss Shauns gentle nature, his sense of humor, his kind eyes and his smile. I know Annie and her boys find comfort in each other and will get through this rough time together.

Shaun, too many great memories to list, but some of our fondest are here….Inaugural 502 trip to Hotel Monaco in Denver – M&M fight in your bathrobe – Smoking in the stairway - oh, there’s a pool here?? At Inverness – “stealing” the hotel beverages from the minibar – “get out of my damn minivan!” Hotel Monaco again. Annie and Shaun late as always. Put our drinks on the Underhill’s bill. Ophir creek – Old Man Come Alive! Camping in Buena Vista. Annie and Shaun late (again). Did you see the cat before we left?? Better head home to check. Forgot Annie’s Potato Vodka. Better head home to get it. And of course, who can forget, VRBO on Chalk Creek… Oven is going to explode! Better pull it away from the wall and disconnect it.... And of course, the couch without a back, rolling over.
Shaun – you will be missed. You left us too early. The world is a different place without you.
