My path crossed with Shannon several times since being called into the mystery of Shakti. My most cherished memories stem from the time I shared working with her on the Nasturtium Donor campaign in 2019-2020. Nasturtium donors are foundational to Shakti support. These folks give a little every month to provide sustainable, massive impact.

Nasturtium will forever remind me of Shannon. Well, really, I find her everywhere in the Believer Garden, but in nasturtium especially. She teaches us to nurture the soil in which we grow, sharing our medicine with others. Reminding us of the power of tiny changes for long-term, sustainable impact. Embracing that we as one person might seem tiny, but together we are mighty - for when we show up, fully, healed, and whole, there is a ripple effect. Expanding the permission field, just by showing up as our true, authentic selves.

When she passed this spring, I was comforted by the abundance of blooming nasturtium in my neighborhood. She is never far. Even when she can't be seen, there is comfort knowing she is there, just beneath the surface, ready to blossom yet again.

Hi everyone! My name is Dani, I was Shannon's assistant in 2018. I happened to be in Ireland when I got the news. This here is the mini documentary of a prayer journey completed in her honor, shortly after the news of her transitioning. It is 20 minutes long, meant for feeling and hearing the sounds and sights of Ireland and this beautiful journey. I hope some of the magic comes through to you. So sit back with a cup of tea and enjoy.

Also, if you can follow this link to the actual Vimeo website, there is a bit more of a description that comes with the video.

My full heart to yours, Dani

We think we have time, and that the opportunity to hug someone again is a given. But now it’s the visit we never had, & the return to North Carolina that I hadn’t yet made. The winery in the mountains we never met up at. The long talks we lost out on. But we said what needed to be said, regardless. And I love you, my friend. I thank you for everything. I will never forget. 💜🌺 Love, Stacy

Pure Shannon at the Benavides wedding - our family so loves you

One of our last exchanges was a mutual reflection on Jeff Foster's poem, With Open Eyes. Your life is an altar dearest soul sister. Thank you for always reminding me to go deeper into the mystery.

"But right now

In this very moment

You stand on sacred and holy ground

Rites of now

You - sacred and holy ground

Rendered

Transfigured

Whole-Ly imperfect

Heart breaking gratitude

Everything is present

Waking up

Eyes open

Your life - an altar"

– Shannon

"It’s icy and cold here. The frost flakes reflect the light and make me think of how magic is here - under our feet and in our skin

And in our beloveds - like you are to me"

Shannon,  Dec. 2023
