I am so sorry on the delay of posting my thoughts. Shannon was wise beyond her years. When ever I was down or struggling she always put a smile on my face. Beautiful heart beautiful soul. Love and light

I am so sorry to have missed this online memorial, for Shannon.  I still feel the shock of her loss.  She touched the lives of more people than many do in a lifetime.  We loved her energy, consciousness and vision.  And I believe she will continue from the other side.  Just call her name!  With loving memories, Marilyn and Georgia

Look, the trees

are turning

their own bodies

into pillars

of light,

are giving off the rich

fragrance of cinnamon

and fulfillment,

the long tapers

of cattails

are bursting and floating away over

the blue shoulders

of the ponds,

and every pond,

no matter what its

name is, is

nameless now.

Every year

everything

I have ever learned

in my lifetime

leads back to this: the fires

and the black river of loss

whose other side

is salvation,

whose meaning

none of us will ever know.

To live in this world

you must be able

to do three things:

to love what is mortal;

to hold it

against your bones knowing

your own life depends on it;

and, when the time comes to let it

go,

to let it go.

In Blackwater Woods

Somehow I do not have any pictures of us together though we spent some profound moments with each other, on Kaua’i and in Point Reyes. Like a butterfly fluttering about to each and every flower she encountered, pollinating divinity in each one she kissed. I will miss you in your earthly form but have no doubt your soul is flying in the ethers onto the next big beautiful chapter of your evolution. I love you eternally for all eternity my soul sister friend.

Shannon and Eric spent Thanksgiving with me in Charleston in 2019. It was so wonderful to have them both in the Southeast. Shannon wanted a unique drink one night so we drove around Charleston trying to find it until we found this hilarious bar that was decorated like Christmas on steroids and we just laughed and laughed all night. There are no words for how special a friend and soul Shannon was ...I will miss her with all my heart.

I had been living in NYC for a year when Shannon reached out. “You’re in New York, right? I’m accepting this Classic Woman Award at some schmancy gala and I’m just sure I’ll end up shouting ‘FUCK’ or something. Can you join as a guest so I know I’ll have some friendly faces in the crowd?” Shannon, you were a classic woman in ways that defy nomination categories.

Thank you, Shan, for speaking to me through poems and songs over the past few months. Letting go of you in physical form has been intensely difficult but your communications were very clear, that you are in joy and peace, complete with your purpose and so damn grateful for it all.  I felt called to share the poem we received when we graduated the Shakti Rising Apprenticeship because in my heart I feel that you "graduated" this life and returned to storming castles with the Divine.  I love you. I miss you.  I thank you. I celebrate you....your Lindsey Lovebug

"I remember who I was before I was

the face behind all these faces

spirit soaring through no-space, no time

nothing and everything.

I held God's hand like a child

and stormed his castles like a warrior

I knew him in ecstatic lovers' union

and loved myself in him

himself in me.

The call came then, hurtling through space

now, my child, it is time

and in the blink of an eye

I was born here

and I began to forget.

The remembering is the healing

for to be whole is to know

to be at onement

the marriage of my goddess soul with god (again)

to heal the wound of separation.

In those silent stilling moments

I see who I am

Healing, healer, whole

in the palm of the universe

I am I am...."

I loved being with Shan and Eric so much for their spontaneous visit to the Bay Area last year. We had a slumber party and Shiloh and Johnathan's and danced until the wee hours of the morning. I remember her telling me last minute she was coming to town and I dropped everything, rescheduled clients and more to see her. Thank all that is good that I did. I had no clue this would be our last in person time together. We had many phone calls after, those soulful talks that only Shannon could create. I thought I had decades more of those talks with you, Shan. I miss you. I love you, soul sister.
