Neil's obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Ryan Neil McLean Sr. announce his sudden passing on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the age of 50 after a hard fought battle with heart disease.
Neil will be lovingly remembered by his children, Casey and Ryan (Jr.) along with their mother Dona; his sisters Anita, and Shelley along with her husband Gary; his niece Lexi and his nephew Sid; his mother, Sharyn as well as his many aunts, uncles and numerous other family members and friends.
Neil took great pride in his family and was a loyal friend to many. His favorite pastime was being with or talking to his children, Casey and Ryan. Neil just adores his kids! He is so proud of them and all they have accomplished. Neil and his children have such a special bond and they mean the world to each other. He also enjoyed watching football, going out for a bite to eat somewhere with Anita, or just shooting the breeze with friends. Neil was a fantastic storyteller! He just loved sharing thoughts and events of his life and would lend a listening ear to all he loved. He learned to shoot pool, be a good listener and a great dad from his late father, Robert and learned kindness and faith from his late grandmother, Gladys (Mamere). Neil looked up to his Uncle Bob and saw his Aunt Margaret as another mother. He cracked jokes with his late Uncle Bill and thought his Aunt Leta to be another mother figure to him as well growing up. He enjoyed visits with his mothers late parents, JW and Rose and had a special connection with his Uncle Ronald. His Aunt Millie and his late Aunt Donna were always in his thoughts. He was very proud of his niece Lexi and often enjoyed her soccer games and his friendship with her boyfriend CJ. Neil was a strong supporter of his nephew Sid and his writings. Neil had great friendships with his nieces by marriage, Traci, Beth and Julie and loved them and their families very much.
Neil had a special friendship with his late cousin Ryan that he cherished and held dear to his heart. Shortly before his passing, Neil had another cousin Mike, that had recently passed away and had been keeping his family in prayer. Neil had much love for all of his many cousins and other family members as well.
Neil loved his friends Vikki and Z, and appreciated her greatly for welcoming him into her home. Neil also thought the world of Polly, his boss, and had much respect for her. Neil's dear friend Frank was always in his prayers and he thought Miss Randie was the bomb-diggity, always happy to see him. He cherished and loved all of his many friends and felt their love for him too.
Neil loved his sisters, Shelley and Anita. He just loved them with that big ole heart he had. He was a big little brother, an ardent supporter, a protector and a cherished friend. He shared a strong friendship with Gary as well. Neil had a heart full of love to give and could get you laughing in minutes. Neil had faith in God and kept a constant prayer life. When it came to faith, hope and love...Neil achieved the hat-trick.
He will be greatly missed and loved forever.
