Rowan was one of the nicest people I’d ever met. Whether we were walking to catch the aca bus or just talking with our friends he always had something to say or do that made everyone laugh or smile. It’s sad that we won’t be able to have those fun times with him again, but I know he’ll be watching down on us making sure to keep us safe and find ways to help us remember that he’s all right now. We’ll miss him very much but I know that God’s got it and that He’ll guide us through it whenever we will need Him to.

Rowan was such an intelligent, thoughtful and kind young man.  He loved his family. He was so excited about getting his drivers license.  He was counting down to the big day, and told me how much longer he had to wait.  We will miss him.  Love and prayers to Mom, Dad and Eli.  May God be with all of you.
Rowan was always so kind to everyone he met. He made everybody smile throughout the day at school. He was always making people laugh and always had the best shoe game. I’m very fortunate I spent the last year of my life loving and being loved by him ❤️

Rowan liked to visit me at my desk during breaks in my AP European History class. We had conversations about travel, music, foreign languages, and many other topics. He was so quick to smile and so unlikely to be annoyed. He was one of my favorite students, and he was the last one of his class to leave my room the day before winter break. He said, "I hope you have a really great break, Mr. Warnick." What a truly nice guy. I'm deeply sorry that he is now gone.

2024, Dec 15 Chapel Service FBC Ashland Virginia
Rowan was always glad to learn and help. He looked older people in the eye, smiled, and could have an easy conversation. That is not commonly true of teenagers. Rowan learned quickly, and on Dec.15, when the main sanctuary had no heat, and we had to meet in the chapel, Rowan was there helping with the technology. From my vantage point, I could see his carefulness in moving through the aisles to ensure the Facebook feed of the service.  It struck me again how he worked with a smile because he knew his conscientious efforts were helping others. May his care and contributions so freely given inspire others.
Maria and I pray God’s peace and consoling for your family during this time of mourning. We hope that in time the pain—which will always be there—will be overwhelmed by God’s love and promise, the love of others, and the joy that will come in memories of Rowan.
My heart is aching for you Shey and your family.  My heartfelt prayers and support are with you ❤️
