Sankora, we chatted on 27th February and I didn't know that it was going to be our last conversation. Sleep in Peace Brother 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I write this tribute to a cherished childhood friend, Rotimi Fatokun, who departed this sinful world on the 12th of March 2026.
Rotimi was more than a friend; he was a brother whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and strength to those around him. Our memories together from our days at Command Secondary School remain vivid and priceless. Those were formative years filled with dreams, youthful adventures, shared struggles, and moments that shaped who we became. Through it all, Rotimi stood out as a kind-hearted, humble, and honourable soul.
He possessed a rare gentleness of spirit. Rotimi treated everyone with respect and sincerity, and he carried himself with quiet dignity. His friendship was genuine, his loyalty unwavering, and his kindness unforgettable. To have known him was to have been touched by a truly good man.
Though he has departed from this world, the memories we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the bond of brotherhood we built will forever remain in our hearts. Death may have taken him from our sight, but it can never erase the mark he left on our lives.
Rotimi, you came into our lives as a friend, but you remain in our hearts as a brother. Your journey here may have ended, but your legacy of kindness, humility, and friendship will continue to inspire all who knew you.
You are gone, but you will never be forgotten.
May the Almighty grant your soul eternal rest and grant your family and loved ones the strength to bear this great loss.
Rest well, dear brother.Until we meet again.
