Rotimi's obituary
In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Rotimi Fatokun
23rd August 1973 – 12th March 2026
Our hearts hold the memory of a man whose gentleness shaped every room he entered. Rotimi was easygoing, warm, and tender in spirit; a man of few words, yet every word he spoke carried weight, comfort, and quiet wisdom.
His love for God and for his family was the anchor of his life, and it showed in the way he cared, the way he listened, and the way he made each of us feel seen.
Rotimi had a beautiful gift: he could lift a heavy heart with nothing more than a smile. His warmth, his humour, and his calm presence brought joy to everyone he met. He loved to drive, perhaps because it mirrored the way he lived: steady, peaceful, and always moving forward with grace.
As a family, we feel the deep ache of his absence. He has left a space no one else can fill. Yet even in our grief, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the life he lived and the impact he made.
His legacy is woven into our stories, our laughter, our faith, and the love we carry for one another.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
We hold this promise close as we remember Rotimi, a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, inlaw and friend. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love will remain with us always.
Forever in our hearts. Forever loved.
Wife, children, siblings and aged parents.
