I first met Roger when I gave birth to him. He was the sweetest baby. I have known him all his life. He was a little devil sometimes growing up but all told we had 20 good years together, i only wish he lived closer to home. But he was happy in CO and loved it there. He accomplished a lot in his life and was a Jack of all trades. He had a good life with his wife Denise and I am thankful that we had lots of telephone conversations and visits. I hope he was a little homesick and missed us but you can't have it all. You have to make decisions. Today would be his 70th HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Happy Birthday Roger wherever your soul rests.

Roger was in a cast for months but managed to get around on a bike and drive with his crutch on the gas pedal. Probably not the safest idea.

So sad that Roger had to leave us so early.

I am Roger's mother. I was shocked to hear he passed. I'm so thankful we did have a visit Oct 2021. I got to wrap my arms around him one last time. So sad. I have known him for almost 70 years and have many memories to dwell on. The baby, the toddler, the school age kid, the high school hippie, the member of the United States Air Force and the wonderful, caring adult he became, I'm so thankful we had a good relationship and were in contact frequently. Here's one cute story.
His number came up for the draft. In the 60's long hair was the fashion, When he joined the air force i asked if i could cut his hair off first. He agreed. i cut it off and put it in a plastic bag and saved it, Gave it to him a couple of years ago. He was a handsome airman. ....I'm late posting as I was in the hospital and am recuperating.
