I can’t believe it’s been three years since Roger passed. My heart goes out to his mother Shirley (my cousin) and family.
Hold onto your memories, and let them guide you during your time of sadness.
Love, Cousin Ellen

(I don’t know how to attach the photo so I hope the link works - occasion was Charley’s 90th birthday in 2015 with Mel, Ed, Denise and Lynn in Boulder).

My condolences to Denise andRoger's family. I first met Roger at the ski area and then found out we were neighbors I would see him almost every morning when I was walking my dogs and he would always stop to say good morning. I was fortunate to spend time eating dinner at Roger’s and Denise’s house having wonderful meals (Denise is an amazing cook) and several camping adventures. Roger always made me laugh and I loved spending time with both he and Denise. I miss Roger and the joy he brought to my life.

We still can’t believe you’re gone, Roger‼️ To this day, we smile and giggle, and remember you fondly whenever we say “careful “ , in the best Bostonian accent we can muster♥️

I took Roger’s passing very hard! Roger was one of the first people I met when we moved to Breckenridge in the early 90s. He was working up at Peak 9 restaurant as a bartender and we use to have a great time! Later on we worked together on the mountain for mountain services building all kinds of things together. Was with him all the time. His favorite saying in his Bostonion accent was Careful, careful! We had so much fun together! He was the type of guy that made you feel very special and that you were his best friend. I miss him dearly and think of him often still to this day. I am getting a tear in my eye thinking of him now.
Denise, you had a very special partner and I can’t Imagine how much your heart aches! Just had to get this off my chest.

So sorry I wasn't able to attend the memorial/celebration of life event yesterday. Have no doubt it went very well, and memories shared by many. Roger was a fun and great guy! I asked Joe to give you a big hug from me. Love, Dan

Denise - I'm sorry I will not be able to attend Roger's celebration.
It was so obvious the love and care you had for each other. You are both kind and loving people that found each other. Together you spread joy and the love for life to so many people - even if you only met them once.
Our world thinks that a 'full' life is defined by the years we are on earth. A full life is defined so much more profoundly by who we are and what we have chosen to do with our time. The times I was with Roger, he was so kind, engaged and interested in everyone around him - he was obviously a selfless person.
In who he was, Roger made a difference in so many lives - even to his last moments with those in the ambulance. The world is a better place because of Roger and his legacy will live on through his smile and everyone that smile touched.
Life must seem hard and impossible at times and I'm sorry you have to endure this pain. Through all of this I hope you find your path to healing.
Your time to shine on others continues. Rejoice in the love and time you had with Roger. His spirit will be with you always to remind you to smile and to find the joy that life on earth has yet to unfold for you.
Take care of yourself and be kind to yourself as you navigate this unknown path. Your beauty lies in the culmination of your past and dawn of your future.
I send you my love and prayers

Denise,
I am heartbroken. Roger and I started out working together at Breckenridge and we became fast friends. We worked, skied and laughed together. He was a true inspiration to me and forever changed my life. Roger never had a bad thing to say about anyone and never spoke a negative word. He taught me how to treat people and to look at the good in everything this world has to offer. Roger and I lost touch when I moved back east but there is not a day that goes by that I don't say to myself, "what would Roger do or say?". Roger always had a twinkle in his eye but never more then when he was talking about Denise. I will miss him more than words can say.
Cheers to my friend!!🍻
