Robert was born August 27, 1957 at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. He was the fourth and last child of Theodore C. and Sarah E. Hood. After graduating from Catholic High School, Little Rock Arkansas in 1975, he began working for Nabholz Construction Corporation in Conway, Arkansas.
