I was so devastated to hear the news, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I got to spend time with Rich while tagging along with my brother at Caltech. I still have such a clear sense of his quiet kindness and decency. He was always a delight to be around. Grace, may his memory be a blessing to you, the girls, and all those who cared about him. Sending love to the family.
So shocked to hear about Richard’s departure. We have so much sweet memories with the whole family. ❤️💙
Still can’t believe it. 🙏🙏🙏
For Grace and the kids: A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept our condolences, Richard will not be forgotten. 💙♥️

I was so very shocked and saddened to read about Richard's sudden and untimely death in the Winnipeg Free Press this morning. I have many memories of attending Chief Peguis Junior High and River East Collegiate with Richard. We were often in the same home room and took many classes together. We were even on the "Reach for the Top" quiz team once. We lost touch after we went different ways after high school and then reconnected only through Facebook while planning our 25th High School Reunion in 2011. I am so very sad for the entire Tsuyuki Family and especially for his wife Grace and his four beautiful and beloved daughters. May God bless you all and keep you all in God's grace in the days and weeks ahead as you grieve such a wonderful husband, father, friend and colleague. Sending my deepest condolences from Winnipeg - Andrea (Otto) Grozli
I first met Richard through the dojo in 2015. It was my first time coming up for a weekend seminar and I was a quite nervous and unsure what to do. Richard was one of the first to come over and introduce himself to me and offer assistance. I was immediately put at easy and found him to be extremely helpful. Over the years I always looked forward to seeing him and catching up. I found him to be one of the most genuine, sincere, and humble people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was a role model to us all and I will miss him dearly.
Rest peacefully my friend.

We are devastated by this news. After many years of not staying in touch, just this year Rich and I had reconnected through some e-mails. I was so looking forward to catching up. Now the memories of Rich's energy and his tendencies to get philosophical in the face of AE102 and AE104 homeworks (I avoided AE101) are flooding back. Word cannot described the sadness, but we are all so lucky to have known Rich. Our sincerest condolences to all.
Tsuyuki family,
I am so very sorry for your sudden loss.

Richard was the best of us.

An example and a role model, both personally and professionally, he is profoundly missed.
I remember Rich from days at Cal Tech that he shared with my son, Jim, and Liz. My heart aches for such significant loss that your family is having to endure. May memories of Rich and his loving spirit comfort you now and accompany you always.

Much love and warmest regards,

Samar Aldiwan and the Hashim family❤️
I am so, so, so incredibly sorry and sad! I wish I could take away your pain and make it better :( I understand what you are going through only because my father died suddenly in a similar way when my brother and I were young. You are the most amazing, beautiful, positive family, and I am sending you more hugs and prayers than you can ever imagine. Sending you much love and strength,
Valerie Bideganeta
I met Richard a number of years back when I moved in next door. I remember fondly, many evenings standing in front of my house watching his girls playing in the hammock that I had set up in the trees in my front yard. We had lots of great conversations and a few beers. He was a wonderful person, and I will miss him greatly. My thoughts are prayers are with Grace and the girls.
What an incredible husband, father, and human being. I know Richard primarily through his amazing wife and daughters, and there can be no better testament to his character than the incredible relationships he shared with them. Godspeed Richard, and sending love to the many who mourn your loss. Your wit, strength, humor, and integrity live on in your four amazing daughters.

I had the distinct pleasure of teaching all 4 of his daughters. The saying “Children are a reflection of their parents “ could not be more true here. Such intelligent, caring, and lovely young ladies were raised by amazing parents. While I did not know Richard, I once told Grace that whatever they did to raise their children was knowledge many of us could use. The Seneca Ridge middle school family mourns this great loss and is ready to step in for any support the family needs.
