Rick was and will always be the best leader of the Emory team. He had so much more knowledge and wisdom to share. He nicknamed me "Hollywood," and Richard will live forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, my friend. I send my condolences and may God grant much strength to all his loved ones.

Rick was my supervisor at Oxford, but more than that, he was my friend. He taught me, helped me, corrected me, and listened to me when I had problems. It hurts so, so much that he's no longer with us. I often told him, "I want to be like you." I always talked to him and showed him pictures of my family, and he always cared about me. He was definitely more than a coworker; he was family. I thank God for giving me the privilege of having known Rick. I will miss him.
