Richard's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard “Rick” Colver, a beloved father, husband, friend, and cherished member of every community he touched. Richard passed away on November 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and unwavering dedication that will forever be remembered. Born on January 19, 1963, he lived a life marked by hard work, boldness, and a spirit impossible to forget.
Though many knew him as Richard, he always preferred to be called Rick. His devotion to his family was evident in every part of his life. His constant encouragement, his quiet sacrifices, and his unwavering belief in his children shaped their lives in ways that will be carried forward for generations. He leaves behind his loving wife, his son, and his daughter—each of whom will miss him deeply and carry his memory in their hearts.
Rick took great pride in everything he did. Whether at work or at home, he put in the effort to make things right, to make them better, and to give his best—every single time. This commitment to excellence wasn’t just a habit; it was part of who he was. He inspired those around him to strive higher, push harder, and never settle for less than they were capable of.
Above all else, Rick was known for his authenticity. He believed deeply in being real—with himself, with others, and with the world. He wore his heart on his sleeve, spoke honestly, and showed up in life exactly as he was. His straightforwardness, paired with his warmth and unforgettable laughter, left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Rick’s greatest accomplishments were not measured in awards or titles, but in the love he gave and the people he raised. His children were his greatest pride, and supporting their dreams was the work of his heart. The values he instilled—hard work, honesty, and resilience—will continue to guide all who loved him.
Though his passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, Rick’s spirit remains ever-present. His lessons, his laughter, and his love will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and all who were shaped by his presence.
Rick will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. As we move forward without him, we do so holding tightly to the strength, authenticity, and determination he taught us.
In honoring Rick’s wishes, our family will be holding a private service. However, we warmly invite all who knew him to share stories, photos, or videos in his memory. Your reflections and memories of our father mean the world to us and help keep his spirit alive.
