Raul made an impact on everyone he met. For the last 7 years I have spent every Christmas Eve with Raul and his family. Raul and all of the Castaneda’s have always made me feel like a part of the family since Liz and I started dating and our wedding as well. There is no one like Raul and you will forever be missed.  We love you!

My deepest Sympathies to the Castaneda family.......I know that he will be sorely missed. I knew him for a short while, but he had a great positive impact on me as I appreciated his warmth and sincerity as a human being. REST IN PEACE BUDDY

I'm reminded of the time in Palm Springs last summer when and were having dinner at Las Casuelas Restaurant. Raul, myself, and the girls decided to dance on the outside patio in the sweltering heat...as we were dancing I "accidentally" moved the girls to one side, and Raul, and I ended up dancing together for about a good minute we were getting some strange looks from the people around us, it was hilarious and it showed me what a great sense of humor my new friend had. Miss you Amigo :(

Raul is a childhood friend who I was lucky to cross paths with every few years. His warmth and genuine cheer were infectious. My heart and condolences go out to his family and friends for this terrible loss.

I can still hear him being my loudest, most passionate fan at my high school soccer games. I’m sending so much love to the Castaneda family and holding you all closely in my prayers. I will forever cherish the memories I have with Natalia from our childhood and will never forget how integral her father was in forming a lot of those memories from amusement park trips, beach days, and more. He will be missed and forever in the hearts of my family and I.

Raul was a wonderful volunteer dad at WA School, JMS, and Gab. His energy was so positive and infectious. It was a privilege to know him.

 My heart aches at his tragic death. My deepest condolences to his family.

He was one of my friends’ father. I’ve met him several times and spoke to him before. He was a very nice person. But after I heard the news of his passing, I had no words. I will miss him very much. My heart goes out to his friends and family. 💐
