Raul Castañeda

It is with a heavy heart that the Castañeda Family shares that Raul Castañeda passed away on the evening of Tuesday July 9, 2024. Raul was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin to his family members. Raul is survived by his two children: Cristian and Natalia. Cristian and Natalia embody the essence of Raul and he will forever live on through their penchant to do good for any community they are a part of.

Raul’s memory will not only live on through his family but through the myriad communities that he was a beloved member of. Raul will always be remembered for his contagious laugh and smile which illuminated whichever room he was in. Raul led by example by always doing the things he loved (primarily immersing himself in the outdoors) like biking, snowboarding, fishing, and running marathons.

On July 9, 2024, Raul was riding his bike with friends when he was fatally struck by a vehicle. Raul passed away with contentment in his heart as he was doing what he loved: an outdoor activity with friends.

The Castañeda family requests that those who knew Raul take a moment to consider the lesson that Raul has left for us all here on Earth. Raul spent his life teaching us through example to do what we love because everyday is a gift.

Please pray for the Castañeda family as we mourn the loss of our beloved Raul: father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many people.
