I have at various times tried to put my thoughts together to do a befitting tribute in honour of a perfect Christian gentleman who meant and still means so much to me but each time, I found out that I lack enough words in my lexicon to express my thoughts, feelings, emotions, sentiments and cordial relationship that we had both on personal and business angle. But finally think it is most appropriate that those of us who knew Our Very Dear Precious Brother Michael reasonably well enough, take time to pen a few words in appreciation of the incredible human being and Christian that Brother Mike was.

I remember meeting our late precious brother Michael in the early 80, with our group from Local Christian Assembly Church Lagos. I noticed his soft spoken conduct and how warmly he welcomed us and later invited us for dinner in his house and from then we became friends, like we have always known each other long before then. I can ask brother Mike for anything and I mean anything and he will go out of his way to help. Those days I used to come for convention, fly to Japan from the US and return to US. Brother Mike was always willing to help me get incredible air fare with the Japanese airlines. This gesture transcended my normal schedule and because of that special fare that he always has for me, I opted to use that route instead.

On Saturday the 9th of September 2023, the bride of Christ in the Nigerian community was rocked with the sad news of the passing on to glory of Our Dear Precious Brother Mike Mc Mayo who went home to be with the Lord that morning.

Our late precious brother Michael Mc Mayo exemplified an astute diplomat in the diaspora for the Bride of Christ beyond spotlighting. Due to his very unassuming nature he always like to take a back seat, very much unnoticed, but very focused. He is a leader par excellence and keeps an open door for Christians to come to his home for fellowship anytime.

In the meetings, he always has a listening ear for suggestions and provides concrete feedback which in effect has many transformational changes in anyone who come in contact with him. His infectious gentle Christian nature greatly undeniably affected some of us who are his friends.

I also personally enjoyed his support as I mentioned above. The excellent and exemplary leadership of our precious brother Mike, on other fronts, also contributed to shaping the perspective of how the Trinidad Bride of Christ in the diaspora are viewed before the international community.

On behalf of my family, our deepest condolences goes to our beloved bother’s immediate family and personally to our very dear precious Sister Hosanna. As we mourn this big loss to the entire Bride of Christ around the world and his services to those of us from Nigeria, we take solace in the fact that his legacy and love remains indelible in our hearts, the impact he made in the Bride of Christ and particularly those of us at Local Christian Assembly Lagos who knew him very well cannot be expunged.

Rest in peace Our Very Dear Precious Brother Mike. Shalom. Your Brother and Friend. Cosmas Maduka. LCA, Lagos Nigeria.

Bro. Michael McMayo

Bro. Mac, as he was fondly known, had a demeanor that made each and everyone who came in contact with him feel comfortable. There was always such a pleasant atmosphere around him...

And I believe that everyone who came to know him would not be able to forget him. Such was his personality. That meekness and humility were motivated by Love.

He was very single-minded in his love for the Lord, and he wanted that same kind of relationship to be established between the Lord and all of his loved ones.

Once, many years ago, he said that he had prayed for them and had framed them with the Word of God in his prayers, and that they would not be able to go outside the boundaries of his prayers.

He always seemed to have little nuggets of wisdom by which he would share blessings. Once he encouraged me by saying that the Lord gives to us by His Promises, but we have to receive them by Faith. That was over 40 years ago, and I still remember it as though it was yesterday.

Many can testify of the blessing that he was to them. He left a legacy of Christianity demonstrated by his humility and love for others. To that, I say, "Well done, my brother, there remains a rest for the children of God."

When our work on Earth is done, we will go to receive the rewards promised us. Glory be to the Lord our God.

Bro. Terrance Montique and family.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Mcmayo family on the passing of our beloved brother and friend Bro Michael Mcmayo.

Bro Mcmayo live can be summed up by these words Going the extra mile. Christianity for him was living for others. That selflessness always abounding. Thundering out in holiness and humility and simplicity.

Until we meet in the rapture.

Dearest Bro Michael McMayo was such a kind and loving hearted Christian Gentleman.

I can testify to his legacy of love and service to them of the Household of Faith, particularly to those of us from Nigeria and Ghana with whom he shared great fellowship.

In April 1983, forty years ago,  I had come over to the United States of America for the Easter Meetings in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, along with a number of Believers from Nigeria and Ghana.

Those were the early days of our trips to the US as a Church Group, hence we needed a lot of guidance help.

Our Dearly Beloved Brother Michael McMayo was a very present help to us in those days of yore.

He was always available to help  with the arrangement of pre and post Convention accomodation for our many folks in 1983.

Bro. Mike was more than a Friend to us, he was a Brother from another Mother and we truly enjoyed the fellowship and relationship we shared with him for over four decades.

Back in the day, he often took time off work to  guide us on how to use the New York City Subway as transport to Wednesday night Church Services. Before we graduated to the usage of rental vans and traversed the whole country.

In later years his home was our home. And our Church Group truly enjoyed stop over visits to his home and fellowshiping with him and his Sister, Hossanah and Niece Adana.

Quite a number of our Brethren also benefited immensely from Bro. Mike's knowledge of Iridology and we were regular visitors to his store in Brooklyn.

Bro. Mike will be sorely missed.

May the Good Lord rest his pleasant and most genial soul in perfect peace and comfort his bereaved family.

Good night Bro Michael McMayo. Thank you for being who you were to us all.

We will miss you forever.

Bro. Goke Oshunniyi

Lagos Nigeria.

In the summer of 1987, a remarkable Christian friendship began, one that would leave an indelible mark in my life.

Having known you for more than 36 years, you maintained an exemplary Christian life which remained a constant source of joy, happiness , and inspiration . Those are just a few ways of preamble Bro Micheal McMayo, a big brother and friend ,was to me and family .

Our journey together has been filled with countless memories, from the adventures of my youth as a young Christian to the wisdom of our shared Christian experiences. Through the highs and lows, you've been a steadfast big brother and friend, always ready to welcome my family and l in your home with uncomparable hospitality. Your hospitality is of best practice with the influence of same running through the entire family that lived with you.

You were great in giving, denying yourself the comfort of sleeping in your bed room most times , each time we paid you a friendly visit. You tolerated the noise of my children and showered them with love unfeigned. It takes very special person like you with love , to exhibit all these kindness. The reflection of the love you gave spread along consistently to your loving family who extended same to me and family without any grudges.

Your unwavering loyalty and the genuine kindness you extended to everyone you meet are qualities that set you apart. Your gentle laughter has brightened even the darkest of days, and your wisdom has guided many through the toughest decisions.

Over the years, we've celebrated Christian conventions together. You were generous and ever giving without looking back. We've weathered storms and celebrated triumphs together through travelings for Christian conventions. We eat and dine together after the services in choice restaurants you introduce us to after the services. You were very dedicated to God's service. Through it all, your friendship has been a constant source of strength.

I well ,recollect a situation where you came to our rescue when we were stranded at JFK International Airport after my family and l, International passports were stolen. You yielded yourself to be used by the holy spirit together with our precious sister Mary(of blessed memories)who also yielded herself to the holy spirit and called you that the Lord spoke to her that there is a family in distress. When you mentioned it was my family, Sister Mary cooked special meals and you brought the food to us at the airport.

As we reflect on this more than 36 years of friendship, I'm filled with gratitude for the countless ways you've enriched my life. You've taught me the true meaning of friendship, showing that it's not just about the length of time we've known each other, but the depth of the connection we share.

In your honor, I raise a toast to our endured friendship, one that has stood the test of time and continued to shine brightly. Thank you for 36 years of laughter, love, and unwavering friendship. Although, l will be missing you in flesh for a while ,Rest in the blossom of our Lord Jesus Christ where we shall meet to part no more. Adieu, my precious Brother, Mike Mcmayo.

REFLECTION OF THE LIFE OF MICHAEL MCMAYO.
I came to know bro. Michael, bro. MCMayo,or bro. Mc as he was affectionately called in December of 1974, when he came to a little remote village called Caigual in East Trinidad to spread the message of William marrion Branham.
He visited every home praying for those who were sick and spreading the word of God. Many came to know God and there are a few still standing to give testimony of the work that God used him for.
Bro McMayo went throughout the length and breadth of Trinidad and the Caribbean casting the net if God's word.
God has called another soldier home. Take your rest now my brother. Until we meet again.

2Timothy 4:7.. You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, you have kept the faith: henceforth there is laidup for you a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give you at that day:

My sincere condolences to Miguel and the entire family. May he rest in eternal peace

I would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the McMayo family. I have known Br. Michael McMayo for 48 years. He was a very precious and kind brother who was always willing to help others. He was also always ready to point others to the Lord. We would sit sometimes for hours and talk on the Word. I know he loved the Lord. A great soldier has gone on. May he find eternal rest on the other side.

In Christ,

Br. Clyde Luke

Humble gentle Precious Bro Michael Macmayo we trust you had a comfortable flight to glory to rest from all your labors. A man born of woman is of a few days full of troubles. Now the troubles of this hybrid body life is over. Rest in peace. On this side of the curtain of time, you were such a mighty and great blessings to many people like me, We enjoyed our trips to New York because you always threw your house open to entertain Christian believers as strangers ( angels). Besides Spiritual blessings you helped us understand nutritional values. You took us to physical landmarks like the World Trade Centre, the Twin Towers before 9/11. I do not forget one time you visited Nigeria and we were blessed when you exhorted us in a service in our church at the Rapture Time Christian Assembly in Enugu, Nigeria. You were a trusted friend at all times. There are so many blessing full unforgettable memories. These include the basement bedroom in your apartment; it was there God’s Apostle exhorted, prayed for and blessed me not long then to his departure to Glory. Rest in peace! Adieu Precious Brother Michael while the Lord continues to faithfully care for your siblings especially sister Hossanna , Adanna et Al.

A TRIBUTE TO OUR DEAR BROTHER MICHAEL STEPHEN MCMAYO
I met Brother Michael McMayo as we fondly called him, first in 1985 when he came to Nigeria. I can remember the title of one of the messages he preached during that trip. “A CALL TO GLORY AND VIRTUE”. It was an outstanding message.

Over the years I was privileged to meet him in the USA either during the various conventions, and also while visiting the church in Forest Hills, New York. He was always very helpful and friendly to us from Nigeria. I know he was doing same to many other believers. He took us and treated us as his brothers.

I was privileged to stay in his house a few times and he was very helpful to me and willingly accommodated me, and also helped me with transportation logistics. Sis Hossana was very kind and gracious to me in taking care of me each time I stayed in their house. She even came to pick me up from the Ports Authority station, during one of my visits, to the house. I enjoyed every moment of my stay in their lovely house.

Brother Michael McMayo’s health shop was a great blessing to me. He advised on healthy meals etc. I remember during one of my visits, he graciously took me out for shopping, and he counselled me against buying a lot of chocolates for my children because of the high sugar contents. He was a very helpful and kind hearted brother. He was always willing and on hand to help any time you needed his help.

We will dearly miss our brother as he has gone to be with the Lord resting with the saints who have gone on before.
We know that anything that serves the purpose of God has a sure resurrection. We know that Brother Michael MacMayo served the purpose of God.
May his dear soul rest in peace with the Lord.

My brother's life was an expression of his sincere love for Our Lord Jesus Christ...

Thank God for blessing us to enjoy and draw from this humble, committed life; he was there for me when I needed a friend and brother, with kindness and encouragement through the Word of God...

My precious brother you fought for this glorious hope, now rest on...

May God comfort his love ones...

My earliest memory of Bro MacMAYO was during my families first visit to the United states in 2002 , we were stuck being stuck at the JFK Airport. I was 9 years old. My Dad, brother and I's passport had been stolen along with all the money we had. I didn't understand much of what was happening but I remember being hungry and dejected.

Bro MacMAYO as we called him had stopped by and got us Popeyes chicken and biscuits, he played with my siblings and I for a bit and then talked with my dad. This is a memory I will always cherish. In a dark period he was a source of joy and comfort.

He has always been amazing and I am sooo thankful that God blessed us with an Angel. My sibling (Moses, Joshua, Caleb and Sharon) and I are forever thankful for you.

Till we meet again Bro MacMAYO.
