On behalf of my mom, Marlilyn Ali, and our family I have some words that she(my mom) scripted a while back and wanted to share on brother Mcmayo's Passing:

Dear Brother Macmayo,

Thank you for your support for all these years. It was a God-given privilege that I should meet you at an early age and I thank you for the impact you have made in my family and in my life. Truly you have done your best. You have been our role model ever since we met all those years ago in Caigual. You have lived a full Christian life and have done all that you can do. We thank you for the many sacrifices you have made especially for my family, the Ali family. Thank you for your unconditional love for us. I thank you for filling in the gap of a true father for me. Your never-failing prayer for us has always been with us. Whenever you came to Trinidad, you had a special place in your heart for us where you always insisted on seeing us, spending time, and having fellowship with my family and me.

I remember when at the age of twelve you brought that icing set and baking book for me. I was so happy. As a child, I remember how you would make sure I got all my medication when I was in Belmont. I remember one Christmas we traveled abroad and you took care of us. You took us shopping, and you took us to eat out. I have so many happy memories of you over the past fifty years. I remember the many times you spent with my husband and me counseling us as we grew our children. In our trials, you stood with us. I remember when you heard that our estate had burnt down you stood with us. I remember the many times you visited Trinidad and you would visit and share a meal with us. Those precious times are your legacy you left us along with the type of man you were.

Brother, you have fought the good fight as a soldier in Christ and have done your best and your reward is now eternal life with our saviour. I thank god for you. I give god thanks and praise for all the things, small and great alike that you have done and been to my family. You will always be remembered by the Ali family for the relationships you had with us, and the love you shared with us. Brother your love was unconditional, it was so real that it became an example for us to follow. May you always be enveloped with the peace of god.

Your daughter in Christ

Tribute To Our Brother Rev. Michael MacMayo Who Served God’s Purpose While He Was On Earth. Therefore He Has The Promise Of A Better Resurrection.

To God be the glory great things he has done that He gave us a person like our precious Rev. Michael MacMayo. We have every cause to be thankful to God for his lovely life of Christian service while he was here on earth with us. Bro. Michael lived a life that was devoted, dedicated, and consecrated to the revealed word of the day. He was a gallant soldier of the cross of Jesus Christ. A real Christian gentleman that was not ashamed of the Son of Man or His Word.

Bro. Michael and I met for the first time when he came to Nigeria in 1980 to visit for the sake of the gospel. After his first week with us in Lagos, he and I went on a missionary trip to other parts of . Because the trip was by road, he had the opportunity to see the country and it’s various and varied landscape. Our first port of call on the trip was Kaduna to visit Bro. Ernest Uzo and his church and there, we had weekend services.

Bro. Morning chapel took I’ll while we were in Kaduna, and had to be taken to the hospital; when he fully recovered, we continued with the trip and went on to the East of Nigeria, where we had wonderful services at The Little Flock Assembly, Woliwo, Onitsha, with Pastor Enoch Okeke and the little group there.

Everywhere we went, Bro MacMayo stood out, and was loved by all. And, every time he preached, he knew just how to connect with his audience to minister to their soul, spirit, and body. He knew how to get into the people’s sufferings, hurts and pains, and use the word of God to bring healing and answers to their needs.

During my first trip to the US in 1983 to attend the Penharris convention, Bro. Michael and his good friend, Bro. Howard Richardson hosted us before and after the convention. Together with our church group from Lagos, Nigeria, we really bonded, and became like family members from another country. It was like we had known one another forever.

My dear brother Michael we are really going to miss you very much. God knows the best, and why He had to take you away from us at this time. My dear brother and friend, sleep well in the bosom of our Lord, Jesus Christ as we hope to meet again soon. Bro. Michael, we will never forget. We will always cherish the loving memory of you, your goodness, your sweetness, your kindness, and will keep your name alive among our group and among our children.

We love you but the Lord loves you more and has called you to enter into His rest. Go on ahead and possess the riches and well-deserved reward of your relentless service to our Maker and His children.

Adieu! Our Precious Michael MacMayo.

Bro. Chigbo O. Ibeneme

Local Christian Assembly, Lagos. Nigeria.

Me: “ Hello Bro Michael, how are you? “

Bro Michael: “I’m good Sis Carolyn, I’m fighting the good fight.”

Me: “But Bro Mike, no fight is a good fight” then laughter and a scripture or  words of wisdom.

This Man of God is like Scripture says, “The salt of the earth.” He was there for me and my family throughout the toughest times, the joyful occasions and had a huge impact and influence in the lives of both my girls. So much so that, even in his death, our lives has been impacted and a reflection of Jesus Christ manifested in his many talks, his investment of time, and the life he lived.

I’m blessed and grateful for the example and the friendship, the love he shared shall remain with us.

If I called him at 2:00 am crying out for prayer, bro Mike answered me and prayed with me. Unselfish in every way. We have been blessed because Bro Mike gave to the Lord in numerous ways, to bless in times of despair and heartaches.

You fought a good fight Bro Michael, now you enter into Glory.

“(Don’t worry, I gotcha now, when you said fighting the good fight)

The McMayo’s legend lives on.

Our Condolences to the Mc Mayo family on the passing of our precious Brother, Brother Michael McMayo. Without a doubt. He was a rare individual in regards to testifying of the Lord and witnessing to souls. He had a patience that was unparalleled. I once said even Job would be impressed.

Bro. Michael is very special to us because he was the seed of what is now known as The Headstone Tabernacle, Trinidad.

We are and will be eternally grateful for his labor of love, display of humility, the grace and sacrifice he made with us here in Trinidad.

Starting in a little group in a village called Caigual that anchored the backbone of what we are.

It was he who introduced me to Apostle Joseph Coleman after the Lord give a revelation of Brotherly kindness in 1981.

He has won many souls to the kingdom and I can hear the Lord say “ Well done my good and faithful servant.”

One thing of note over the years I have known him, I have never heard him speak evil of anyone and if you were to speak negatively of someone he would keep quiet and just say hmmmm. Not a negative word.

We salute this soldier of the cross.

From Brother and Sis Ovid and all us in and from the Headstone Tabernacle family.

A GALLANT SOLDIER WITH A HEART OF GOLD

I had heard so many wonderful things said about Brother Michael Mcmayo by Pastor Olumuyiwa Omotoyinbo and our other big brothers in Lagos, especially how he took care of them during their trips in the early years of the conventions in the USA. Then I experienced the Bro. Mcmayo hospitality when I joined the group to attend the conventions in the late 90s and early 2000s.

One outstanding personal encounter with him was during one of his visits to Nigeria and Ghana. I remember I was at the lobby of the Golden Tulip hotel in Accra, Ghana (where our groups lodged). Suddenly I started experiencing an allergic attack from an asthmatic condition. I remember how Bro. Mcmayo, who was standing by, quickly took me to his room nearby and prayed for me passionately and advised me on how to avoid and manage the condition. He was so full of empathy. I felt much better afterwards. That encounter left an unforgettable impression on me.

Thank you, Bro. Micheal Mcmayo, for all your service to God’s children, which was service to the Lord Himself. Well done, faithful servant of the Lord. May your gallant soul rest in peace in the Lord. Amen. Our condolences go to the Mcmayo family. May your hearts be comforted.

My precious Bro MacMayo gone but not forgotten, Bro MacMayo is so humble greet you with a smile and one of my early mentors,  was blessed to work with him , my time spent with him was fellowship and work oriented,  I love how he will sit down and listen to you, and each advice will come back with a scripture, my family knew Bro Mac for a long time, however I  happen to hear about him, but never met him until the late 90's, I know you are with your mom Margaret and in a place you always long to be.  Sis Hosanna, Sis  Adanna, Carl, I pray the Lord comfort you at this time, and My mom Sister Ingrid Diaz also said she will be remembering you at this time.
A Blessed soul ... may God comfort the family ... its such a blessing to know that God has paved a way that we can see our brother again ....
