I am very sorry for your loss. Micala was a bright person with a beautiful smile and lovely heart. May God bless you and protect you. You are in my heart and prayers.
I never had the privilege of meeting Micala, but I have been overwhelmed by the evidence of her goodness, kindness and Christian love. I had the immense honor of meeting her girls at KIS and frequently talked with my husband about what shining lights they are....truly a testament to their parents. My thoughts and deepest prayers are with you all in mourning the loss of your beautiful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. May you feel Jesus' comfort in very real and tangible ways.

I've had the fortune of witnessing first-hand the incredible impact Micala had in her work as Executive Director of A Family for Every Orphan. Under her leadership, she transformed a tiny non-profit startup into a global organization that has helped thousands of orphans be placed in loving local families. Her legacy will live on. I'm also grateful for knowing Micala personally as a dear friend and wife of my lifelong best friend. I so greatly admired Jason and Micala as a family unit. Our hearts mourn with the entire family, and remain thankful for getting a chance to have her in our lives.
We are so very sorry for the loss of Micala. She was precious in the eyes of our Lord. Praying for comfort for your hearts. May she Rest In Peace.

I went to High School with Micala and I'm deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Sending love and prayers to her family. R.I.P Micala.
I got to spend a couple years with Mikey in the F2 Zoo, our West Point company. She was cool enough to hang with the boys and even the underclassmen! One quick story I'll always remember: I was learning to play guitar one year, and had a buddy Pete Bakke over on the keys, and she heard it, and promptly grabbed her violin and was jamming with us less than 5 minutes later! Did we sound good? No! Did we have fun? Yep! And on her way out, she tripped and fell putting her violin away and hit the corner of her eye on the corner of the sink, and had to go to the hospital immediately for stitches! Was she a little clumsy? Yep! And did we love her? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! She was a beautiful soul and I am so deeply saddened for every single person that knew her and mourns her loss. I also knew her as a Catholic and Christian and Clevelander, and her spirit shined everyday. Heaven is quite the perfect place for a person like that. John 16:33

Craig and I are deeply saddened to hear this devastating news of our dear friend, Micala.

She was one of the kindest and sweetest people I knew with such a loving heart, a beautiful spirit, and a shining example of Christ.

Micala and I were West Point classmates and although we were friendly there, we didn't become lifelong friends until we were both stationed at Ft. Lewis together. I am so thankful and grateful our lives crossed again because we were able to share so many laughs on our long runs in and around Ft. Lewis as well as life milestones together like meeting our husbands and sharing in the joy and excitement of knowing we found the one, having children about the same time and experiencing motherhood together. Although that was the only time we lived near each other, she never made the miles between us seem distant.

Micala did everything with her whole heart. As a West Point cadet, she was the very first female to graduate from the rigorous and physically demanding Sapper School. As an Engineer Company Commander, I remember her saying she would wake up between 4-430am so she could get work done before her actual day started at 630am with Physical Training (PT) with her Soldiers. Before becoming a mother, she shared Easter brunch with my husband and me along with some other friends. She baked an Easter Bunny cake because she wanted the few young children who were present to enjoy it. Through her non-profit organization, she helped numerous orphans find loving families. She loved Jason and their 4 beautiful girls more than life itself. She was a true gem with a smile that lightened any room and could change your mood for the better. She will be greatly missed!

Continued prayers for Jason, their 4 beautiful daughters, Keira, Noelle, Cheyenne, and Natalie, her parents, siblings, and all their families.
I'm so sorry to hear about this. I knew Mikey from USMA. She was such a bright and wonderful girl. I pray for her dear family and friends.
It is apparent that the world is a better place because we were graced with her presence.......now she is receiving her reward with the Lord. My condolences to her family.
Shannon and I express our deepest condolences for this shocking loss. During our time with Mikey & Jason at Ft. Lewis, Mikey was a ray of positive energy, optimism, and selflessness as she helped families in Jason's troop command as well as her own duties. A leader of people, of spirit, and an example of love and genuine compassion to all she met.
A loss of a beautiful loving woman. Truly an angel on earth. Her kindness was just blossoming when I met her as a student in high school. I never imagined the light she would shine on the world. I am so sorry for your loss.
My deepest condolences at the tragic passing of a brilliant, sweet, kind young woman. Praying for your family. May the peace and Presence of the Lord guard your hearts and minds during this very difficult time.
Such an amazing person and an amazing family. My heart broke when I heard the news of her passing. I will be pleading with God to cover the family in his peace and comfort!
Oh Micala, sweet friend. The news of your passing has shaken us all. I am so sorry this happened. You were our unofficial high school class of 1997 cheerleader. You were kind to everyone you encountered and the joy in your heart illuminated the hallways. You were especially kind to me our senior year together and I will never forget that my friend. Although our hearts are heavy with sadness, I am trying to take comfort in knowing you are safe in our heavenly father's arms. I can just picture you wrapped up in his arms while he whispers to you, " Well done. "
I was so sorry to hear of Micala’s passing. My prayers are with her family to find some sort of comfort. I had Micala in class at the middle school and can say she was the most special student. Her work ethic and caring personality surpassed most others. My heart goes out to the Hicks and Siler families. I will keep you in my prayers
You were a true angel of the Lord. You brought comfort and joy to so many in your life time. You were an inspiration to many. You may have your wings now and be with the Lord, but I know you will never be forgotten. You will always be an inspiration to many as memories and your life stories are told to others. May peace and comfort come to those who you surrounded in their time of grief
