My deepest condolences to the family. Mikey and I were in the Officer Badic Course together, as 2LT(s). She was one of the sweetest and baddest Soldier, I have ever seen. I pray that her legacy provides comfort to the family.
My deepest condolences to the family. Mickie and I were lieutenants/PL in Korea. She kicked @$$ and was a true inspiration—she was hard charger when it came to running/fitness and she was an outstanding leader. She was a Christian, she was sweet as they come. I last saw her and her family in Germany. We ran into each other while out and about—she invited me over dinner. May she Rest In Peace.
My heart breaks for the Hicks and Siler families. I cannot imagine the sorrow that all of you are experiencing. Please know that our family has been praying every day that Our Lord will comfort you in this difficult time. Our admiration for her joyful spirit, her kind heart, and her beautiful smile will always be cherished.

We have such fond memories of Micala on Christmas Eve at the Schneider's house and loved it when she brought her violin and joined us in playing Christmas songs! We are also grateful that we were able to play for her wedding and be there to witness that special occasion in her life.

My sincere condolences to the Hicks and Siler families. Micala played basketball and soccer with my daughter in high school. She was a fierce competitor but still always had a smile on her face. Her amazing legacy will live on with her four beautiful daughters.
To Michela’s family: praying every day for HIS loving arms around you. Jeannie Wooten Rhodes
Dear Mike, Celeste and family. The obituary is beautiful and mirrors what David used to share with me about Micala. He was an admirer of Micala and was so proud that she shared a footprint with him at West Point. I know David met her in Heaven and hand-in-hand they fly among the angels in serving our Lord Savior. May God wrap his arms around you with love and bring you comfort in the days ahead. Love Karen Maculley-Fastabend 🙏
My deep and sincere condolences to both the Hicks and Siler families. I had the pleasure of going to middle school through high school with Micala and I knew her as nothing less than the absolutely amazing person that everybody else has described perfectly.

To her family and close friends - please take heart in knowing that you will see her again and often if you are looking for her. She is most certainly in her girls’ faces. Maybe you can see her bounding, determined step in their walks or they inherited her infectious laugh. Perhaps her little quirks and mannerisms appear, or her passions and interests shine through them. The leadership and models that she laid out are likely followed by many, not realizing it until they stop and think about where it all came from. Micala is still very much here - she is in the details - and she will never be gone from this world as long as you keep looking and listening with your heart.
Sending my deepest condolences for her family, hugs and prayers are being sent for the family during this time.
Such a tragic loss. Our heartfelt prayers are with the entire family as they go through this most difficult time. Micala and our daughter were classmates at West Point, and we met her family through the West Point Parents Club of Northeast Ohio. May she Rest in Peace, and may her good work on this earth continue in her memory. Joe and Sharon Russell
I had the complete pleasure of meeting Micala, Jason and their beautiful girls while being stationed together in Wiesbsden.

It was my sister, Heidi Borden Anderson (who shared a lifelong friendship with Micala) that pieced together Micala and I were living in the same city! Ironically, we lived 1 street over from each other, but didn’t actually meet each other until a few days before Christmas, December 2017! We almost literally ran into each other while shopping at the commissary (on post grocery store). She stopped me and we instantly hit it off!! I am sure part of it was because we both had my sister in common, but the other part was because Micala was one of those people you just knew the second or minute you met her, you would truly love her and her amazing personality!!

Micala had this presents about her that would bring a smile to your face even if you were having the worst day ever. She always had a smile on her face and brought so much joy to me knowing her for such a short time!

She represented a true Catholic Christian woman and truly lived her life the way all believers should live. What an amazing role model she was for her girls.

Sending sincere condolences and continued prayers for Jason, the girls, parents, siblings and extended family. May you find peace in the memories you hold near and dear to your hearts.

Blessings,
Molly Borden Heatherly

Mikala your loving spirit will not be forgotten. You have competed well; you have finished the race; you have kept the faith. Your crown of righteousness ...the Lord will award you.
You already are deeply missed. It was a blessing to have known you. Diane Pellerite
I am so sorry to hear about this. I graduated high school with Micala and she may have been the smartest and sweetest person that I have ever met. It really saddens me to know of her passing and it is no surprise to me that she made such a big, loving, and lasting impact on this world. She will be missed and always remembered.
I can't even imagine what a loss this amazing family must be feeling right now.
Micala was such an amazing woman and I have been so blessed to have known the Hicks family my whole life.
They are a strong powerful group of very talented people and I know they are all strong!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God comfort you with His abundant grace and love.
Another memory to share here,…
2017, Seattle, WA, USA
Another memory to share here, in 2017 the Siler family joined us and other friends for a weekend in Seattle. With many of all our very young children making things challenging at times (to put it lightly haha), I came away in utter awe for how Jason and Micala regularly and joyfully took their young kids all over the world with them. Micala and Jason understood that their career callings and being exposed to a world in need was far more important for their girls to witness than any inconveniences that may have come with that lifestyle. Micala's legacy will live on in her family.

Someone wise once told me,“God is too good to be unkind and too wise to be mistaken. When we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart.”

Praying for those left behind. My comfort is this: We WILL see Micala again!
We are very sorry to hear this tragic news. I graduated from OF with her. What a sweet and caring girl...always happy, with a smile on her face. I’ve read all of the posts from others and it sounds like she lived quite a beautiful life. I’m so sorry that she was taken from you all too soon. She will live on in her gorgeous girls. Love and prayers to the family. 💕🙏🏼💕
