I got to know Martin via helping planning Pan-African American Graduation and committee work at Sacramento State. He was always a positive person to be around, laughing on stage, and just being a great person to hang around. We will miss you and your energy, plus all the hard work you gave to Sacramento State. My heart goes out to your family.
We lost a valued colleague far too soon. Dr. Martin Boston brought warmth and generosity to every room. His dedication and kindness left an indelible mark on all of us. We will miss his presence, but carry forward the spirit he shared so freely. Rest easy, my friend.
My condolences to Martin's family. I first met Martin in Streit, he was right across the hall. My brotha from anotha motha. He was my roommate for every track meet. We would have poetry nights at the AA Multi Cultural center and some times it would just be me and him spittin. We got the opportunity to represent in the middle of the Library. So many memories from our college days. He was so brilliant and dedicated to the things he loved. I admired that about him. He would make time for so many things and people, he just had a drive that you could not deny. I'm so proud of how high he climbed and what he accomplished. I love you Martin!
