Bless the Boston family, Lord. Strengthen the bonds of love that unite them and let their home be a refuge of peace and understanding.  As they navigate the loss of Bro. Martian Boston, and life’s seasons, remind them to support and encourage one another. May the family be filled with peace & comfort,  protected in the arms of our loving God.  We pray that their shared faith and love will create a beautiful legacy for generations to come.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

My deepest condolences to Martin’s family and loved ones on this tremendous loss. He felt like the big brother of our entire district in our fraternity, and he touched so many lives through his work, his friendships, and his overall path in life.

Sending love and light to Dr Martin Boston and his family. He was a wonderfully brilliant person through and through…I am so honored to have had him as a Professor. May he soar forever high. Much respect, Nadine Oakley ❤️

My condolences to Martin's family. I had the pleasure of meeting Brother Martin Boston shortly after I crossed. From the very beginning, his boisterous personality filled the room—he carried an energy that was impossible to ignore. It didn’t take long for us to connect, not just through our bond in Omega Psi Phi, but also through our shared background as track athletes.

One day, out of the blue, Martin asked if I wanted to help him coach the McClymonds track team. Without hesitation, I agreed. That invitation turned into one of the most meaningful experiences, because what stood out most about Martin was his passion—his heart to train, coach, and mentor others.

As we often say in the Army, leadership is built on the philosophy of Be, Know, Do. To be is about character and values, to know is about competence and knowledge, and to do is about putting it all into action. Martin embodied all three—he lived with integrity, he shared what he knew to uplift others, and he never hesitated to step forward and take action to build those around him.

Martin was more than a coach or a brother—he was a devoted husband, a proud father of two daughters, a respected professor in the African American and Ethnic Studies department at Sacramento State, and a true leader. His impact will live on in every athlete he trained, every brother he inspired, every student he taught, and every life he touched.

Rest easy, my Brother and Friend. Your legacy continues in us.

Sending my deepest condolences to Dr. Boston’s family. He was a true staple in our black community and overall on campus. I’m very thankful to have experienced him as a professor and as someone who pushed me to step out of my comfort zone. He will be truly missed.
Dr. Martin Boston was one of the greatest fitness I’ve ever had. A renaissance man of high character. A god brother to me. Always made an informed decision and had a level of maturity far beyond most, at a young age. He will be loved and missed always.
We miss you Martin! We will keep living out your legacy in Ethnic Studies!
Imagine being so loved that you need reservations to your celebration of life! A life well lived. Martin and I went to WSU together and crossed about the same time. He always showed the AKAs love. He was kind and used his influence with people to encourage them to be stand up men and women. We didn't connect often but I loved it when we did. I have nothing but good memories of him. We always seemed to be at similar stages in life. That's why his passing is so profound and heartbreaking, as a mother of small children. I am praying for his wife and children.
Rest in peace, my guy. You are a prime example of being a good person and good friend no matter how much time passes in between being around each other. May the love you put out in the world be poured back into your wife and your daughters. Save me a ticket to the VIP section in heaven.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Martin. Our hearts are broken. We will continue to lift Krystal and the girls in prayer. To the entire family We are so very sorry

Sincerely

Stephen & Rhonda Russell and Family

Martin, words fail to capture how deeply you are missed by so many!I thank God for our paths crossing and the profound impact you had on my life—an impact that will continue to shape many men & women every day. Krystal, please know that you have a wide circle of friends who love you dearly and are here to support you, ready to serve and stand beside you whenever you need.
Thank you Martin for getting the opportunity to meet you. You set an example on how to be a great man in just the little bit of time that I got to know you. You had a major impact on myself. I thank you and your wife with trusting me with helping Kairo in the sport of track and field. I will do my best to continue the mission brother. Broken inside but we'll bounce back. 🩷🖤💛
