Dear David and Stacey, Your mother, Marie, was the most beautiful woman. What a wonderful, inspiring, loving and strong. person she has always been. I would talk to or see Marie every few weeks and it is so hard to feel that she is not always with us. I pray that she is in a more peaceful state and I know her love and strength will be our guide. She was an inspiration to us all. So full of love and generosity of spirit.
When I spoke with her I always left each conversation or meeting with renewed hope from the strength that she found through her life. She gave me the knowledge that this is something that we all can do. The love and faith she shared was endless.
I recorded six interviews with Marie, the last about a month before she passed, and she, as always, had new insights to share and stories to tell. David and Stacey if you would like the transcripts and the videos from these interviews I would be glad to share them with you. I made a short video of her talking about your grandmother from an early Zoom interview I did with Marie in 2021. I will send it along.
As we all do, I loved her and will miss her so.
Thank you and bless you Marie.

Dear David and Stacey;
We join you in celebrating the remarkable life, accomplishments, and contributions of your mother. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend, and has been such a presence in our lives that it is hard to believe she is no longer with us. Stopping by her house has been a special treat for our son Zac since he was old enough to toddle across her driveway. She loved to share stories and photos with him, and these visits made history come alive and sparked his interest in social justice. We love Marie, and we will never forget her.
Sincerely,
Michael, Katie, and Zachary Friedman

Today i just learned of my dear aunt's passing. As a child she embraced my Brother and Sister and was warm and caring. I remember fondly summer days on the vineyard. Oh how we complained when it was time to go to the island. We wanted to stay in the city with our friends. At the time i never realized and appreciated how lucky we were. Thank you Aunt Marie and Uncle Milton for your love and caring i have never forgotton either of you. In my life i have grown distant from many. The sweet moments on Martha's Vineyard i truely treasure now. David and Stacy my deepest respect and sorry for your loss. Your mother i believe had a wonderful life. I am very proud to have know her. Much love to your entire family. Alan R Williams

Words cannot express the loss of our dear Marie. How grateful we are David and Stacey for you sharing your mother with us. She was such an incredible treasure, force of nature and role model to follow. Marie Allen gave us nothing but love and we are better people because of her.

Stacey, I did not get the opportunity to meet your mother, but by looking at the beautiful photos of her, I see you. I can only imagine that she was as sweet and kind as you are. Please accept my condolences! 💐
