We are writing with deep regret to say that we will be unable to attend your mother’s memorial service on Saturday. The simple reason is that we are both over 80 years and simply cannot drive in the evenings from our home in Lakewood Ranch because of poor nighttime eyesight.

As you probably know, we met Marcy while living for many years on St. John (I think it started in 1998). Your mother was an important and good friend and often visited us at our home in St. John and/or met with us on one of the many island beaches. Together, Marcy and I also I hiked many of the St John hiking trails. Our favorite hike was to was Rams Head. Our hiking adventures led her to encourage and support me to take on the Tuff-Eight endurance race from Cruz Bay to Coral Bay. When I finally crossed the finish-line she was there to give me a big hug (she had finished way ahead of me). When we moved to the Sarasota area in 2014 our friendship with Marcy was rekindled. We shared biweekly phone calls and lunches.

Throughout our friendship we have shared and talked of our interest in travelling and relived our joint love of living in other cultures, meeting new people and sharing fresh ideas we picked up along the way. To put it simply, Marcy was in love with life and wished to bring friendship and love to everyone she met.

Marcy has been an important part of our lives for a long time. She will reside in our hearts forever. Again, we are deeply sorry for your loss.

Marcy was an honor to our profession. I loved her body work & am grateful for the time we shared. Inspiring & encouraging, she believed we're all connected & can lift up one another.  With so much love around her, that bright light of hers will surely shine on in all who loved her. Wishing peace & strength to Marcy's family & to her huge family of friends & colleagues. 🪷
Heart-warming Marcy was, and a very intuitive professional massage therapist. Blessings to Michael and Danielle! She will be missed.
Lovely person thoughtful and caring,  as she started as my client she became a friend and will be sadly missed.

Huge hugs to her children from Belinda, Blake and Sabrina..

I met Marcy in Sarasota when our twins were still babies through the Sarasota parents of multiples group - and we became fast friends sharing the happiness and challenges of raising twins.  We shared bday months and  our twins also shared bday months and (before I moved from the area) we always enjoyed playgroups and  many bday parties together as well as sharing conversation throughout the day to day while meeting at local parks or visiting each other's homes with our kids.    She was a devoted mom and genuine person, a very beautiful human being inside and out and smart!.  Her kids were always at the  forefront of her mind and life.   Our hearts really go out to them!!! No one can replace a mom.     I know they are fortunate as  Marcy's wisdom and love defeats even death and will carry them throughout the rest of their lives!!!

If you kids are reading this know your mom was very special to many people and she knew she was lucky to have you.  Sincerest condolences to you.

Love,

Belinda and Sabrina and Blake

To Marcy's family, and family of friends & colleagues, I am deeply sorry for y'alls loss. We are not alone but all one in our joy and sorrow as we adjust. Namaste

Dearest Michael and Dani, I am deeply sorry for this challenge to face y'all so early in life. Your mom loved being your mom and always wanted to be even before she knew she would get the honor.  You both courageously walked a difficult part of life's journey with her. Your mom and I met in laughter, and we did much of it during our 30 years. This was ascential to our lives. In honor of your mom, remember her love-filled laughter. Feel her effervescence bubble up from within yourselves, your hearts, and allow it to ease your pain and refill your joy.

I love you both, Barbara

Dearest Danielle, Michael, family & friends,

Marcy & I met over 20 years ago.  She had just moved to Sarasota.  The first things that stood out to me were her sweet, yet, determined disposition, her intelligence and her devotion to her children.  Marcy was a dear friend, a loving soul so willing to share her knowledge and healing gifts with everyone.  We relied on one another during  good times and challenging times.  I will miss her presence in our physical world yet, I take comfort that her caring & wise spirit remains with us all.

Please accept my deepest condolences to Danielle, Michael & Marcy’s family & friends. Marcy was a dear friend of mine for over forty years. We met the summer of 1982 in Dekalb IL- NIU, in the bike shop. We enjoyed each other's company doing a ton of different things from skating at Grant Park, cross country skiing in Kettle Moraine, music shows around Chicago (Genesis twice), bike riding in Barrington area, the list goes on. One time I got to be her lab rat for a stress test for her masters at NEIU. Her companionship was real important to me, she helped me often with school tasks, and cheered me on at bike races. One incredible thing when we spoke in later years was just how much she remembered about my (5) kids. She was just so strong, smart & bright. I am proud to observe how Marcy’s massage practice got nothing but 5-star reviews. Marcy’s sweet spirit will live on in all of us that knew her.     We will miss Marcy deeply.
