No words can be found to tell any one how Lou came across to people, he was the Salt of the earth and would do anything for anyone. I have a big rock in front of my place and Lou liked sitting on it so now it's called the (Lou Rock). Love you Louis and my God Bless you and your wonderful family.   dave

Lou will certainly be missed! Always enjoyed talking to him at the Alumi dinners.
I have known Lou since junior high. Back then we became friends through football. After we graduated, we spent time just being friends hanging out until Lou went to college and I went to work and then into the service. During that time period I would visit Lou while he was in college and I was home on breaks. After college Lou moved to California to teach. During his summer breaks from teaching, he would come up to Poulsbo for vacations. Our time together as friends was spent golfing a little, spending time at North Shore and salmon fishing a lot. And as years went by and our paths changed, we still had a bond. He became my best man at Linda and my wedding 37 years ago and we still have the wedding plaque on our kitchen wall. Then of course we started our families about the same time. In fact, Lou and Andrea brought Min to the hospital the day Sean was born and we never forgot that. Lou was by far one of the kindest, friendliest and giving men I know. He always took time to visit my folks while up in Poulsbo and even visited mom while in Hospice. Even though our families took precedence in later years our friendship remained and our past was never forgotten. And Linda and I will both miss him until we meet again.

For many of the wrestlers, Coach Lawrence was like a second father.  For a few of us, he was our only father.  On and off the mat, he was always in our corner.  Here are some of the things that I have heard my teammates say.

"After a win, he was the first person that I would look to."

"After a loss, he was the first person that I would look to."

"He showed up to my college graduation."

"He drove me to rehab following my knee surgery injury."

"He drove me to the Dr. to set my dislocated shoulder"

"He is the reason I was able to stay out of jail."

"He bailed me out of jail."

"I am a better husband and a father because of him"

With devotion to his students, and his athletes... Coach Lawrence has inspired many of us to become coaches, educators, and leaders in our chosen professions.  Through us, his legacy will continue to inspire countless others...

With love and gratitude, I want to thank Andrea and the kids for sharing him with us.
