Mr. Lawerence was the best teacher I ever had. He really was a special person. I was at Schurr High from 1991-1995. I’d always think about him throughout the years and wondered how he was doing. I just googled him and found his obituary. My deepest condolences to his family. I wish I got one more chance to see him. Thank you Mr. Lawrence! I’ll never forget you pal. RIP

Lou, my best memories will always be how you were the life of the party. I will always cherish the summers at the canal or at my grandparents house. I always considered you my bonus uncle.
For you Lou--Super-cali-fragil-istic-expi-ali-docious!

Louie and I played on the undefeated football team at NK when I was a senior and he a junior. He was a teammate that always had your back! We both went out into the world doing our own thing. Over 50+ years later I saw Louie again at a function at the Poulsbo Historic Society. The years melted away when we recognized each other. The bond we had was as solid as ever. Sports teaches us more about life than sports. Our prayers are with Louies entire extended family. Driving by the log cabin still fills us with sweet memories. REST IN PEACE BIG MAN!

Our sincere condolences to Andrea and family! We truly loved and will miss our beloved friend Lou.
Our family history goes way back with the Lawrence family... Lou graduated with my Aunt Judy, and their friendship was truly special. Stories of my grandpa Giff Maryott and Lou at the ol "Torpedo Shop" in Keyport were special! A story I'll never forget was a time when Lou came by the grandparent's place to visit, and Grandma Ruthie had a disliking for a dead branch on a big ol fir tree out over the high bank. Lou being Lou said he could knock that limb off with a rock.... we'll the story probably got better thru the years, but Lou did indeed knock that limb off! That ol fir still stands today and we'll miss Lou's visits, sitting out looking over the water and drinking a Heineken or two. Thru the years every now and then we'd look out at the firepit by the high bank and see an empty Heineken bottle sitting there? That meant we missed Lou, he'd stop by, sit out front and toss at least one green bottle over the bank in memory of the good ol days.
Lou was such a great guy and always made everyone feel special and appreciated. He called and or visited so many people making their day special just by saying hello and he cared! We always love driving by the ol Log House and knowing the history and family that lived there. Now our drives by will be sad, but the memories of Lou and the good times we had will be cherished forever! RIP Big Lou, I know you and Gramps are catching up on stories and having a cold Heineken....
