LH was a True LR Bear. Always enjoyed seeing him and Ted Ray at the Hanley H. Painter Bear Memorial Golf Tournament. . Always enjoyed his company. From one Army Vet to Another. RIP my friend. TD
A class act! Met at Havana cigar spot in Memphis and he became a part of the brothers and sisters of the leaf. Sad to hear of his passing but he is in God’s care now. Well done, Harp!
Saddened by this news of our dear brother Laurie. Praying for his family and loved ones during this time. He was a mentor, golf buddy and all around good person! I’ll remember those cigars talks and golf days wherein he always shared words of wisdom and encouraged me to always “keep swinging” at life’s challenges. Until we meet again friend! Rest in Power!
Laurie Harper was unforgettable. A man of class and confidence, a huge smile and a wonderful laugh. Your day was made better by running into Laurie. My heart breaks for his family and for his friends. For us all. This is a huge loss.
We left SHS together headed to Lenior-Rhyne. Friendship blossomed since 1973 starting with joining the band. We always stayed in touch during the many facets of our lives. Over 50 years he’s been like a brother, strong and supportive. He will be missed! Keith Walker
