I was so sorry to hear of Laurie's passing. I had watched him be nurtured by his loving parents and become the man, soldier, husband, father and grandfather that he had become. May God give you comfort and strength during this time of bereavement.
In 1977 I took Laurie with me to LRU. I coached him in High School and when we joined the football staff at LRU, he was the first person I wanted to recruit. He was a great man, his father and mother were both wonderful parents. They laid the foundation that allowed Laurie to become the man he was. I was a better person for knowing him. RIP my brother !! You will be missed but not forgotten!!!
My condolences and the family will be in my prayers, I was really saddened to hear of Laurie’s passing. We were colleagues at NC A&T. He was a friend and a Fraternity Brother. A really good guy and friend. He will definitely be missed.
