Kathy & I met in college.. she lived next door to me in the dorm our freshman year .. we became instant friends.. we became roommates the rest of our college years. I have so many wonderful memories.. I often went home on weekends with her.. Her parents were so welcoming.. after graduating, we both worked at the Cleveland Clinic .. she stayed in Cleveland for a few years then relocated to Michigan.. she continued to move farther west to California.. we always kept in touch.. we shared stories of our children.. she was so proud of Lauren & Danny . She cherished them .. I was so incredibly sad to hear of her passing. We had talk a couple weeks before her untimely death . I miss her love & laughter.. she was a true friend ! Its hard to believe it’s been 2 years .. I’m thinking of you both Lauren & Danny ., how she loved you .. I will forever live on the wonderful memories ❤️. Pat Mancuso

Kathy was an amazing friend. I love her like a sister and miss her every day. During the last month of her battle with cancer I needed to undergo a gastric surgery. Kathy asked to drive to my house, some 35 miles from hers, through rush hour traffic, to pick me up at 4 am, in order to take me to the hospital to check in for surgery! I wouldn’t let her do that, knowing how unwell she was. Unfortunately, we were unable to see each other after that, although we spoke by phone and exchanged texts. She sent me a beautiful get well bouquet. I was heart broken not to have the opportunity to hug her goodbye.

I am so, so sorry to hear of Kathleen's passing. She was one of the kindest and loveliest attorneys I had ever worked with. She was so incredibly sweet and always praised my abilities as a court reporter to anyone and everyone in the room, and I never left a deposition without her making me feel simply fabulous. I will always remember her. What an extraordinary woman.

Lauren and Danny --- I am always thinking about you and hope you are both doing well. First anniversaries are always the toughest but the sadness never goes away. Happy memories help us get through the rest of life without dear families and friends to share it with. I miss my oldest BFF's voice and feisty personality. I can still hear her in my mind. I have so many great memories of the time we spent together over 56 years. She was taken way too young but is surely watching over both of you!!! The pride and joy of her life!!!
Love and hugs to both of you. xo xo

A friend of mine, who was looking for an attorney in SF, came across Kathy’s name and info that she was deceased. He forwarded me the information because he had met Kathy through me while we were law students together. I am so saddened to learn of her passing. We were good friends while in law school, but sadly, we lost touch after I got married and moved to San Luis Obispo. I am sorry for her loss, especially for Lauren and Danny. I so remember how much she talked about her kids when we were in law school together and I remember how devoted she was to them. I have read through all these posts that people have made and agree with all of them. She was a wonderful human being—fierce, funny, intelligent, unapologetically frank, and fashion forward. She talked me into wearing red lipstick for my “winter” wedding, a lip color I had never worn before. I have worn red lipstick many times since, but won’t be able to wear it again without thinking of her. My deepest condolences to Lauren and Danny and all the people she meant so much to and left behind. I am going to play the Irish song “The Parting Glass” tonight and say a grateful prayer for her — a life well lived.
