Kathy & I met in college.. she lived next door to me in the dorm our freshman year .. we became instant friends.. we became roommates the rest of our college years. I have so many wonderful memories.. I often went home on weekends with her.. Her parents were so welcoming.. after graduating, we both worked at the Cleveland Clinic .. she stayed in Cleveland for a few years then relocated to Michigan.. she continued to move farther west to California.. we always kept in touch.. we shared stories of our children.. she was so proud of Lauren & Danny . She cherished them .. I was so incredibly sad to hear of her passing. We had talk a couple weeks before her untimely death . I miss her love & laughter.. she was a true friend ! Its hard to believe it’s been 2 years .. I’m thinking of you both Lauren & Danny ., how she loved you .. I will forever  live on the wonderful memories ❤️.  Pat Mancuso
Kathy was an amazing friend. I love her like a sister and miss her every day. During the last month of her battle with cancer I needed to undergo a gastric surgery. Kathy asked to drive to my house, some 35 miles from hers, through rush hour traffic, to pick me up at 4 am, in order to take me to the hospital to check in for surgery! I wouldn’t let her do that, knowing how unwell she was. Unfortunately, we were unable to see each other after that, although we spoke by phone and exchanged texts. She sent me a beautiful get well bouquet. I was heart broken not to have the opportunity to hug her goodbye.
Happy Birthday, Beautiful! I so wish you were here because there is so much I want to share with you, so many stories! Instead I will share them in my dreams as I know you will hear them.Love you! P.S. the boys are doing wonderful! Vince is taking great care of them.

I am so, so sorry to hear of Kathleen's passing. She was one of the kindest and loveliest attorneys I had ever worked with. She was so incredibly sweet and always praised my abilities as a  court reporter to anyone and everyone in the room, and I never left a deposition without her making me feel simply fabulous. I will always remember her. What an extraordinary woman.

Lauren and Danny --- I am always thinking about you and hope you are both doing well. First anniversaries are always the toughest but the sadness never goes away. Happy memories help us get through the rest of life without dear families and friends to share it with. I miss my oldest BFF's voice and feisty personality. I can still hear her in my mind. I have so many great memories of the time we spent together over 56 years. She was taken way too young but is surely watching over both of you!!! The pride and joy of her life!!!

Love and hugs to both of you. xo xo

Happy birthday, dearest Kath!  I still reach for my phone whenever something occurs that I know you would love to hear about, or just to connect.

Lauren and Danny, we are thinking about you on this day.

A friend of mine, who was looking for an attorney in SF, came across Kathy’s name and info that she was deceased. He forwarded me the information because he had met Kathy through me while we were law students together. I am so saddened to learn of her passing. We were good friends while in law school, but sadly, we lost touch after I got married and moved to San Luis Obispo. I am sorry for her loss, especially for Lauren and Danny. I so remember how much she talked about her kids when we were in law school together and I remember how devoted she was to them. I have read through all these posts that people have made and agree with all of them. She was a wonderful human being—fierce, funny, intelligent, unapologetically frank, and fashion forward. She talked me into wearing red lipstick for my “winter” wedding, a lip color I had never worn before. I have worn red lipstick many times since, but won’t be able to wear it again without thinking of her. My deepest condolences to Lauren and Danny and all the people she meant so much to and left behind.  I am going to play the Irish song “The Parting Glass” tonight and say a grateful prayer for  her — a life well lived.

My thoughts went to Kathy this past weekend when I heard the news mention the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. I remember Kathy joining the firefighters in climbing the stairs to the top of the 52 story Bank of America tower in SF. Not only did she climb to the top, but she walked back down the stairs and started climbing again! She was an amazing woman in many ways, and will be greatly missed by many.

I was so sorry to hear about Kathleen's passing. We last saw each other in 2001 when she was an associate at a San Jose family law firm and I was a law clerk. But I always remembered her vivacious spirit and her lack of tolerance for BS. She did not suffer fools!! I was glad to see her friends and family gather today to remember a special person that touched all our lives. I know she touched mine.
Kathy was a dear friend to me when she lived in East Lansing. There are no words to describe the loss of such an amazing and accomplished woman. My condolences Danny and Lauren-your mom was one of a kind and she loved you both fiercely
