Josh was one of my teammates …
2014
Josh was one of my teammates throughout middle school. He was always such a kind and funny presence at practice and was so devoted to the sport. He was always cracking jokes and was easily the most talented kicker on the entire team and we all tried to keep up with him, but we couldn’t. Many of my core memories from swimming with SST include Josh and I’m so sad for your loss.
Josh was the DM of my daughter her first year with CWP.  Whenever he was in Lake County IL he crashed with us in our spare room that summer.  He enthusiastically came in, no matter how tired, visited, enjoyed some home cooked food, and was so polite and thankful for the hospitality.  He was a blessing to my daughter, and a joy to have met.  Such a bright young man (bright in so many ways and with such spirit!) will surely be gravely mourned and missed by those who knew him best.  It was my blessing to have known him a little.  I will keep him and those who loved him in my prayers.

Josh, Kate , Lauren and Mason our families spent the day at the park
• Although I did not know him, I see by the many heartfelt tributes your son was a remarkable soul, and his memory will forever be cherished. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time and the days that lie ahead.
Josh was the first new friend…
2019
Josh was the first new friend I met at IU (this picture is from our first day of college in 2019), and thankfully, that led to a friendship that lasted years. I’ll always be thankful for that friendship. No matter where we were both at in our lives, Josh would always make sure to check in every few months to see how I was doing. Josh is the most kind, caring, and genuine guy, and I will forever be thankful for our friendship.
