Josh always came to support me at every event. He came to watch me cross the finish line at my half marathon and cheered me on in the freezing cold.

Dear Tracey & Family,
My heart breaks to hear about the tragic loss of your dear Joshua. He was a wonderful young man who truly lived in his short life. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers, and I pray that you are able to find some comfort in your memories during this truly awful time.

I had the blessing of spending my time at College Works with Josh as my fellow intern and DM, and I am so grateful for the friendship and support we gave each other as the years went on and we entered life after college. Although we started out as each others #1 competition, it turned into a friendship we both could lean on when things got stressful. Josh pushed me to work harder, care more about my team and everyone around me, and always reminded me to look at the positives. Josh understood my sarcasm and sense of humor, and there was never a time I felt like I couldn’t go to him with anything. He wasn’t always the loudest person in the room, but he could make any situation funny if you were standing next to him. I remember sitting at Buffalo Wild Wings with him in Michigan City, all of us exhausted (and slightly annoyed that we were eating at BDubs), but Josh still found a way to make us laugh and have a good time. Josh was an incredible teammate and business partner. There was a day when he called me at 7am on a Saturday morning to say that he needed help with estimates, but it wasn’t like he just called me with a problem. He already had the full solution on the spot for us to switch places and help both of our teams, and little did he know that day would change my life by introducing me to his intern Grace.
I was lucky enough to grow with Josh as 18 and 19 year olds trying to figure out who we wanted to be, to managing a team and watching him positively influence so many people, creating an amazing career for himself, consistently maintaining his health and fitness, buying a house, and being an incredible human to everyone he met.
After we both entered our own careers, Josh always remembered to call and keep each other updated on life and everything in it. As he bought his house recently, we stayed on the phone to work as a team and make sure he was getting the best deal possible. Josh had the wisdom and intelligence of someone twice our age, and I always looked up to him for that.
These are just a few little moments that remind me of how much of a gift Josh was to the world. They were only a small part in his story, but I hope he knows how much of an impact his existence and friendship made on mine. Josh, you will forever be a friend to me and I hope you know how proud I am to be yours. ❤️

My deepest condolences to the Crews family and loved ones. I am so heartbroken and at a loss of words. I was friends with Josh in high school and college, he was one of the kindest and most giving people I’ve known. He always went out of his way to help everyone around him and made sure they could succeed. He helped me so much when I was clueless going into my freshman year at Kelley — I would’ve been so lost without him. He was hilarious, so fun to be around, and such a genuine person. Josh was truly one of the sweetest souls. He will be missed dearly!

Josh was the one and only person to get injured on one of my jobsites... and he was my boss!

Josh was truly one of the most kind, hardworking, and inspirational people that I have ever met. I worked directly with Josh throughout college at CWP, and he was the sole reason that I decided to start on my current career path. We spent hundreds of hours together over the span of a few years, and Josh had such a massive impact on my life, both professionally and personally. I cannot begin to express how much he will be missed by all his many friends, colleagues, and family. Josh has left many people with wonderful memories, laughs, and lives changed for the better. He was truly a special soul.
