Tracey and family, we are so heartbroken and very sorry about your loss. I still remember the talks we had during SST practice about Josh’s swimming and how hard he worked. I got to know him better each time he came to our home. Such a hardworking, kind, and intelligent young man. We will always cherish the time Josh and our family spent together. Prayers for you and your family.

I’ll be remembering Josh through our shared elementary school shenanigans and swimming. You all are in my & my family’s prayers.

Highlight Reel from our time in college

I worked with/for Josh a couple summers ago. I spent a good amount of time with him over a 6-month period. During that time I was extremely impressed by how hard-working and intelligent Josh was. He was always committed to his work and was passionate about what he did. Josh was also a great leader, he dedicated a lot of his time to helping/coaching others. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Josh.

When I met Josh, the first thing I noticed about him was how well-spoken and mature he was. He was wise beyond his years, which enabled him to impact so many lives. Josh was an outstanding man.

Josh was a joy to be around and will be missed.

Joshua, I knew you before you were born. I knew the dream of you. The wish your parents had to become parents and how much they loved you before you were you.

Then you were born and the joy and the love and the work and worry were everything to them and more. You grew into a precocious toddler with a fearless nature and a strong will to do things your way. Then a little boy trying new adventures making friends and finding out who you were. Then a smart, athletic, handsome young man working hard to fulfill his dreams and make his own life. And you did just that, found your way to a life you loved full of adventures and family and friends and then a love of your own.

Knowing you through all your stages in life was a blessing. I will treasure my memories of you always.

Favorite memories

You playing at our house every summer- lake days and sleepovers, catching frogs and Gardner snakes, playing with trucks in the sandbox. Bouncing on the trampoline in Superman costumes.

Spending time with you as an adult- you always made time to stop and catch up with me, find out what was going on in our lives give me the update on yours. Simple things but they meant the world.

You brought so much light to our lives and you will be missed beyond measure.

We only met Josh a couple of times and we didn’t  know him well, but we were neighbors for a very short time and we could just tell how hard of a worker he was and how kind and friendly he was to those around him. Sending prayers to the family and friends that he touched the lives of.

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Josh while they worked on my basement! Josh was my electrical guy while my Josh and Liam came behind and hung drywall! We had lots of laughs and great conversations but still worked hard! As I write this everything in the basement is as it was at the end of that weekend with the exception there is not as much drywall dust on the floor down there because Josh did all his work in his stocking feet🤦‍♂️ There is and will forever be memories filling that basement!

What a fine young man! God has a plan for you Josh Crews and you will do a great job!
