So very sad to hear that Jerry is no longer living among us. His joy in serving Jesus was an example to all. My heart grieves with you all, but rejoices that it is only a temporary parting. Well done Jerry! It has always been an honor to call you my friend.
I first met Jerry at Arlington Countryside Church in Arlington Hts. IL. I was a brand new Christian, Jerry was leading the Collage and Career group at that church while he was getting his seminary degree. Then later he married Sue and they led the group together. They went out of their way to reach out and disciple me in faith and understanding the Bible. They befriended me and were always ready to listen to me and give me guidance. I have cherished their friendship over all those years, and had the joy of their visits on furlow. Aug. of last year they stayed at our home.
Jerry's passing was a great shock. I will always fondly remember his uplifting exuberance, I never saw him with a foul spirit, when I think of Jerry I think of someone who had the joy of the Lord and loving his ability to serve. And it is a great comfort to know that now Jerry's joy is complete.

We first met Jerry and Sue when we were just teenagers attending Congress at Greenwood Hills.  While we have not been in regular contact with them over the years, every time we heard something in the news about PNG, we would think of them and the work they were doing there.  When we heard of Jerry's passing, our hearts were filled with sadness for Sue and the family.  We truly appreciated being able to view Nathan's documentary showing the celebration of the books arriving to the Nali people.  After watching, we couldn't help but think, what a gift for your family, all being there together for the special occasion.  We ask God to show each of you His presence in very real and personal ways as you grieve this immense loss.  May He give you exactly what you need for every difficult moment in the days, weeks and months to come.

Our deepest sympathies to Sue and the children,

We are heartbroken to hear of this terrible loss, heartbroken for his dear family, and heartbroken for the people of PNG whom he served so faithfully for so many years.

We knew the Pfaff's through their furlough visits to First Baptist in East Stroudsburg over 30 years.  Sue and Jerry were always a joy to be with and we admired their dedicated work of translation.

We will pray for supernatural comfort and peace.

With our sympathies,

Lucian and Becky Costanzo

I am so sad and  sorry to hear about Jerry's Home going.  I have known him since he was a little boy, knew him as he grew up  and have admired his love and service for the LORD, he was a sweet and  sweet [erson,       My heart felt sympathy to the family.  Alieze Birkett
