Idris was the older brother I never had. Found out whilst landing abroad. Devastated is an understatement and I cannot find the words to describe the impact he had on my life. Thank you for changing the course of my life and for inspiring me and being honest with me (even brutally times ).

None of us will ever understand why it was your time to leave this realm, but I’m grateful that I knew you brother. Aylesbury Estate was a breeding ground for a number of amazing people and you were one of them. Selfless, nurturing and giving your time to benefit other people’s children is God’s work. Until we meet again brother. Love ❤️

Dear Idris,

Not only were you a great, caring trainer you were also an amazing person. You will never be forgotten even though you are not physically here in my mind you are and have aspired me to fulfil my potential and aim for the highest in life. When I was doing the exercises and thinking of giving up and you were shouting I would give anything up to have one of those moments because I know it meant a lot to you and wanted to see me do well. You will always be remembered.

Show them what your made of up there

'The highest human act is to inspire' therefore that makes you an amazing human because not only did you inspire Elisha through training, motivating and pushing him to get the very best out of himself but you also inspired me as well in so many ways. Our hour long sessions often lasted for an hour and a half or more, an example of your commitment and care to your craft. Just the way you spoke about what you did was an inspiration. You truly cared and for that you will never be forgotten. You were a one off there was no one else like you, your infectious smile, distinctive laugh and honest nature are just signs of how genuine a soul you were and I will miss you bro. Training will never be the same again. One of the last conversations we had was how in a few years time there are going to be so many athletes in the sporting world that have been touched by TSM and Idris, although you're physically gone you live on through everyone you've inspired. I mean it when I say you will never be forgotten in my household we will never forget. Don't go easy on them in heaven bro, make them do hill runs, superboy and superman challenges because you're that guy! My condolences to your fam and friends but lets carry on your legacy. Thankyou for everything. P.s Lebron is the GOAT...and so are you, my guy!

Idris, I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this. You was such a big inspiration to the youth and played a big part in my son Leos development, over the 2 years we had the pleasure of training with you, you gave him and us so much from a training and personal stance, the love and passion you had for your craft and your exuberant personality will always be remembered! Rest easy big man ❤️
My condolences to his family during this difficult time.
There wasn’t a single day with Idris he wouldn’t have me laughing (or vomiting from back to back 150s). I wouldn’t have achieved the things I have without him, his good energy inspired me and so many others around him. Thank you for everything Idris. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones💛
You were a great friend and somebody I could trust, you gave me advice and helped me in my moment of despair, you were a role model, coach and very close friend to my son Jaami and played a very important part in his sports journey, You will be sadly missed by all of us and will always be in our hearts and thoughts for ever. Rest in peace old friend .

Very sad to hear this news

I was lucky enough to work with Idris and see him make children fall in love with athletics

His outstanding coaching brought many of them to county and national standard but his approach gave them discipline and a will to succeed in a safe and fulfilling environment

He always had time to help and encourage people

Rest in Peace
