Words cannot express how our world will feel so different without Ian walking among us. He is part of the fiber of our being and I am sure contributed to the paths that we have all taken. When I think of my high school years at kits, Ian was such a huge part of it. He was one of my closest friends and I was always happy to see him, especially after I moved away and would come back for a visit. He was one of the first people I would always call, and he would always show up! I will miss him dearly. To all of his family and close friends, our hearts are with you. Love Tracey and Tim ❤️

I am so happy that us "King Edward neighbours" got to meet up in Keswick, UK  September 2024...a lovely memory to remember a lovely kind and generous guy. RIP Ian....and condolences to all your loved ones.

Ian you are one of my favourite humans to ever walk this earth ! There is no hug like  a hug from Ian Guns !!  You always made me and anyone lucky enough to call you a friend feel  special .  I love how generous you are with your time , talents and love . You are truly one of the most generous people around . I will never forget how you came over after my knee replacements to build me a staircase with a railing so I could get in and out of my house without extreme pain . Then you showed up with Emma and Megan and while they  did my hair and gave me a massage you gave me a pedicure! The Guns family spa treatment lives forever in my memory!

   The love and friendship you and Emma share has been truly inspirational to me and has made me want to be a better friend and partner ! I will never forget watching the superbowl with you and when I commented that Tom Brady gets to go home to a super model wife you said ‘so do I’   I know Emma is the most loved wife on earth - that was so obvious the last time I saw you and we shared her birthday cake . Your smile always lit up a room but when Emma  was in the room it lit up a city block ! Thank you for loving her so deeply and completely!

  Thank you for  introducing me to your amazing Megan and Mathew . You have so many accomplishments to be proud of but these are your best ! They are kind loving thoughtful smart filled with confidence and integrity and will because of your love lead happy fulfilled and successful lives . Well done my friend!

     I am writing this as if you are still with us - because you are !! We are all better for having known and loved you ! ! When I need strength I will remember you - when I need  to laugh I will remember you when I need to feel appreciated and like I matter I will remember that you made me feel that way .  Rest peacefully my lovely friend your truly made a difference in the world !

I was a recent addition to Ian's long list of friends but in the time I spent with him and his wonderful family I had the pleasure of being with one of the most kind, loyal, generous, creative, and warm people I have met. I will never forget how he would go out of his way to greet me where ever we met with a genuine smile and a big guy-to-guy hug. 

He will be tremendously missed.
