My deepest sympathies to you all. I only met Ian a couple of times, but he was great fun. My thoughts are with you.

Several years-ago, we moved from New York City to Vancouver, and we faced a big problem. How do we convince anyone to agree to host a couple with three cats and a dog? Well, you send an email to Ian and Emma Guns, that's how.
From the first day, when Ian and Emma took us for a drive to show us Vancouver, we knew we were into something special. You see, Ian doesn't convey passengers, he takes hostages. I'm assuming this six hour tour of the city would have cost us $500 if we booked it on Trip Advisor. And it wasn't just this one time! I once mentioned to Ian I was going to walk to the store, and he said, "I'll run you over there." Three hours, and a few Guinness later, we returned home. I honestly don't remember if we went to the market or not, nor would I have cared.
All of you who read this understand. All you had to do to be his friend was to meet him. When I'd go out to walk the dog in the morning, there he'd be on his deck in his old bathrobe and slippers, cup of coffee in his hand, big-assed smile on his face. You could say that having that, then not having that, is unfair.
But I see him right now. Vividly. And I'll never forget.

Heartfelt love and condolence's.
I’ve known Ian since I was 5 years old . My Mom ‘Mary’ shacked up with Ian’s dad ‘Brian’ for a couple of years in West Van. I’ve ran into him many time since…through high school and Bon fires at wreck beach where all the ‘cool’ Kitsilano kids hung out.
In 1996 I entered the film industry as a props person and it was always a good day when I ran into Ian on set. We always had a good laugh and a hug as our history was long and deep.
I raise my glass to Ian, my beautiful brother.
