"GOD willing Roto we will all be reunited in heaven for a life of eternal happiness".  I imagine Erik is now sitting at a table with my son Rob, Slade's and Ant's sons, Tiny's daughter and listening to stories (and lies) about all their dad's from the likes of Buzze, Stook, Joe Bob, Tiny, etc.  That's scary.  "Thank you Lord for the breath of life you granted Erik".

Erik not only was my Grandson, he was my Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Buddy, starting with Baseball Camp as a little guy here in St Petersburg, then texting during crucial games as seasons evolved, with the crown jewel being his visit 5 years ago where we OD’ed, attending three games in succession, on 2 nights and one day. Erik was a real joy; a young man who always did the right thing!! Really miss you buddy, but the Good Lord willing, we will all see you again! In the meantime, we pray the Lord wraps his arms around your Mom, Dad, Abby and Alissa as they grieve our family’s inexplicable loss.
I’m very sorry to hear about Erik. He always inspired me to work harder and be my best self. I don’t know anyone else that would wake me up at 5am to go to the gym together and then do homework after. He was always there for you and could turn any situation into a laugh. I’ll never forget his dedication to learning Piano Man.
Erik reached out to me when I was sick in high school and offered to help in any way he could, from picking up homework to making himself available as someone to talk to. Though I didn’t get to know him well before college, I feel grateful for the kindness he showed and the true friend that he was.
