Words cannot express the love we have for Doug and the family. Our hearts are truly broken but we have the faith that helps heal the pain knowing that we will see him again. Doug was truly a loving and kind person that would do anything for anyone. He’s beautiful smile was a true reflection of the loving and kind hearted man that he was and was always so much fun to be with.

We love you all! 💔💙💙💙

Our hearts are so sad to hear about the death of your Dad. We are sending our love and prayers to you and your family.

Family and friends,

I remember going out in the ministry and stopping at the convenience store near his house. So often Doug would be there drinking a cup of coffee. He would ask how our morning was going, always with a smile. I remember the time we had to take down a pecan tree at the Kingdom Hall. Doug was right there with his tractor pulling up the stump. Doug would use whatever he had to help someone. But I remember his love for Jehovah most of all. Now he’s in Jehovah’s memory. I know all in the family are in pain. Just know that we love you. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “keep encouraging one another and building one another up”. That’s one of the ways we receive comfort.

Dearest family-

May Jehovah God continue to sustain you all at this time of such great loss of Bro. Lowell (Doug).

“Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit.”—Ps. 34:18, 19

Doug, the Merrihew Family will miss you greatly. We love you, and your legacy will live on through your beautiful family. Your smile and laughter will always be seen and heard.
We will miss Doug. He was a wonderful cousin. So sorry to lose him. Kay and Bob McKnight

To the Lowell family I am so sorry for your loss, may Jehovah continue to be a source of comfort for you.
The older I get, the more I realize uncle Doug had the right idea about everything.  Our loss is Heaven's gain.  Say hi to the Big Man for us!

Sending love and support to the Lowell and Hanberg family. We love you and send our prayers.
Kathy and I are glad we got to meet Doug and Stephanie in St Augustine at Sofia and Trenton’s wedding.  He was warm and smiled a lot.  I wish we could have known him better.  The new world will give us that opportunity.  Till then, I’m sure he will be sorely missed by his wonderful family. We send our love to all of you who are grieving now.
